Absolutely love this! RECOMMEND
I bought one for my husband a few years ago to replace an old one. He thought it was much better, the leather is top quality, and he has used it constantly. This time I bought one my adult son asked for one for his birthday, which was smaller, so I took a chance and got this again instead. He was thrilled that it holds so much and thankful I didn't get the one he thought he wanted! Also, Amazon has this MUCH less than other sites as well as the company who makes it.

Nearly Perfect Briefcase for Business and Travel
As others have done, I looked at many cases before finding this one. As a software engineer, I must travel with laptop, associated hardware (chargers, adapters, wires, mouse, etc.), notebooks, business cards, passport, etc. In other words, a lot of stuff. I needed a large case with many sections and pockets. It needs to look nice, be durable, and travel well. This case performs very well in every category. It even has some features that I did not know I needed! If you travel for business, want to look decent in front of customers, and have a lot to carry, I think you will enjoy this bag a lot. I certainly do.

Happy with Purchase
I am really pleased with the bag. It is well constructed with lots of room. There are 3 large, interior sections including a slightly padded compartment for a large laptop. Then, there are two other compartments on the longer outer walls. The phone compartment is not large enough for today's phones, but I find it convenient to place my keys. I am using it to carry two laptops, iPad, full size notebook, cords, extra batteries, file folders, toiletries (when traveling) with room to spare... you get the point. It holds a lot.

HIgh quality, tons of room.
I shopped around for a replacement backpack/briefcase for over a year. I store a laptop, ipad, tons of papers and even a pair of shoes and a change of clothes. The fit and finish is excellent, I've only had it a short time but it seems to be very durable.

Buyer Beware !!!
It's OK, but the zippers are too difficult to close. I would not buy this briefcase again.

This case has TONS of storage space! But, HEAVY.
This is an extremely handsome and well-made...hm, what to call it? Laptop case? Computer portfolio? Briefcase? Carry-on? It's any and all of those. When I received this, I was stunned to find just how many pockets and how much storage space there is in this, um, case! The product page doesn't really describe or photograph the interior of the case, so let me enumerate what you get.The innermost-- we'll call it a pocket-- appears to be for the laptop, based on the extra padding. There is a velcro strap that goes over the top of the laptop for extra protection so that it can't slip out of the pocket when the case is open. On one side of the laptop pocket is an open pocket with room for storage as well as what I think are CD pockets sewn into the wall of the pocket (though you could use these for other small, flat items, like brochures). A zipper holds all this together.Continuing on that side of the case, the next pocket has 2 large open storage areas (for files, books, etc), plus two smaller pockets with gussets that enable them to expand. Maybe those are the CD pockets. Again, this section has a zipper closing. On the outside of that side of the case is a zippered pocket with a storage area, along with multiple small pockets (one of them zippered) for pens, business cards and/or credit cards, license, checkbook, etc. All the small stuff you want in one place.Proceeding to the OTHER side of the central laptop pocket: there are three large open pockets that could store multiple files, books, etc. A top zipper holds all that together. Then, there is a flat, zippered outside pocket. Finally, on one end of the case is a cellphone pocket with a magnetic snap. There are two carrying handles which can be joined together with velcro. There is also a shoulder strap with a padded area over the shoulder which you can attach is desired. This is really a fabulous case. There are only 3 details that keep it from being perfect:1. It weighs a ton. The pocket linings are nylon (sturdy, not flimsy) but there is still a LOT of leather in this case that adds to the weight.2. The cellphone pocket will fit my iPhone 5s but not the newer, bigger models. You know, I'm not even sure this IS a cellphone pocket. Not sure what it's for. It's wider at the top than the bottom. Too small for glasses. Keys maybe?3. Some of the pockets have a pleat at the bottom to make them expandable. If you were to fill this to capacity or near-capacity, those pleats would open out and lie flat, enabling the case to stand up on its own. But if it's not nearly full, it does NOT stand up. This is a major sticking point with me, and the main reason I took off a star. I have had far too many bags that fall over. There is the potential for spilling the contents if this happens, but at the very least, it's annoying.I'm still happy with this case though. I'll be taking it to an educational conference next week where I will have to lug my laptop, some books, and various files. I'm using it as my carry-on on the plane. You could honestly keep extra clothes or shoes in here, food, your Kindle or tablet, whatever! Really, there is TONS of room! Nice case.UPDATE: I took this case as a carry-on to a week long seminar. I have to say, with just my laptop and a few notebooks in it, it was an agony to carry. SO heavy. It really ruined my trip. It's also awkward because it's hard to tell which zippered pocket contains what. Unless you are heavily muscled, don't bring this bag anywhere you will have to carry it any distance.

This computer portfolio is highly recommended for the business traveller who goes on trips for 2-3 days, you don't need to take any further bags! This one can take in your laptop, power adapter, various cords, ebooks, paper books, change of clothes, underwear, sandals, papers, small mementos if you buy and so on. It's perfect for such a use case. For daily office it might be too big unless you carry a lot of additional things with you to office in addition to simply a laptop and lunch; for eg; if you need to carry a gym change of clothes and sports shoes again this bag might be handy. The description is correct, has tons of the said pockets and flaps and areas to store various things. The leather is columbian leather, it's good but not at the level of Frye, it's a step below that but that doesn't mean it's kinda inferior, it's good in its own right.Things to improve are: the cellphone pocket is a bit funky shaped, anyways these days people keep phone with them all the time, not in bags. I would use the pocket to store readily at hand chargers or spare batteries. The pockets some of them cannot be unzipped with one hand since the zip is around the curve of the bag, and you need two hands to unzip. The bag may not stand properly on its own even though it has metal supports at bottom since if the bag is not full, the bottom is not flattened up; but then again most people will either put them on their 4 wheel carry on spinner bags or maybe just hang on shoulder or just put supported against a wall while in a restroom etc, not a deal breaker, just had to mention.I am in my new job getting to go on those small trips at times, I am glad to have found the perfect bag for these trips.
