TrackStick Pro GPS Vechicle Tracking System Data Logger

I had some problems with the TracStick Pro from the beginning, as it would work intermittently. Sometimes it would log the data, and other times it wouldn't log anything. I never figured out how to make it work consistently. When it did work, it was great and helped me keep track of my teenage driver. Then one day it just quit logging all together. I could hook it up to the computer and see where the computer was, and if I drove around with the computer on it would show me where I was at, but never logged any data after that. I called tech support, and they were no help at all. They told me that the unit was bad and I needed to go buy another one. That was especially annoying because it was still under warranty. They would not take it back directly; I had to go back to the place I bought it, but the store had a 30 day return policy and told me to work with the manufacturer directly to redeem the warranty. If you are lucky and get one that works, it looks like it would be great. But I wasn't lucky.

For me the Trackstick look good, but there are some points that for me are very important:1. The capacity is very low2. He does not have the option to limit the speed, means, possibility to program for a certain speed, once he done that he will be able to give some alarm.3. He only shows us the stops that are made during a trajectory with the engine in function.4. When the vehicle is off it must be capable to accounting likewise hours or as long as the car is at one particular point5. When I explored, he does not give me the option to show or check if the driver had disconnected it for some time.6. The Trackstick for 24 volts is necessary for us as our truck is 24V. not 12VThat’s are all my opinion.

Works very good just don't last long

Place it then forget it with no batteries it will always be recording until the time you need it.The detail of recording is great.The filters for the time each stop is set by the user.Any door to door business will know the time at each service address.Good for about three weeks of recording.Easy to hide.The tracking data always is in your control.Speed ,Direction,Stops and location it leaves nothing to the imagination.Works great with Google earth ,Microsoft streets ,Excel and most likely works best with GIS Geographic Information Systems (but i haven't tried it yet)I been using the trackstick pro for only a short time this is just for openers.

I wasn't sure about this when I first started looking around for GPS loggers. It had mixed reviews around the web but eventually I settled on the Trackstick Pro because it seemed the most promising for what I needed it for: to get an idea of a few delivery routes for my restaurant.Well, it did just that, and flawlessly! I couldn't be more pleased. Granted, the installation is really just that; installation. It takes some handiwork and a few minutes of your time. But it's not so bad if you follow the helpful instructions, complete with photos, provided for this exact model in the Trackstick manual.But once you're up and running, believe me you'll get the results you're looking for. I can basically see months of collected route data and the exact vehicles that are going too slow or straying off their course. In the long run, Trackstick has definitely saved my business some unneeded expenses.

I bought a trackstick pro and after 6 months of normal use, it stopped working. I've been in contact with the folks at Trackstick for about a month as they kept trying to convince me that I was doing something wrong. Now that they'll admit something is wrong with the unit, they say "take it back to where you bought it." I said "how about I send it to you and pay shipping both ways". They said "No you didn't buy it from us". I would think that although there is a physical store I purchased it from, that since they manufacture the item, that I did indeed buy it from them. When my Acer monitor broke they didn't send me to best buy, they gave me an RMA and fixed the flaw. DON'T BUY TRACKSTICK PRODUCTS, TRACKSTICK COMPANY WON'T STAND BEHIND THEM!

I have purchased two TrackStick Pro devices and both failed within a few days. I have repeatedly emailed and attempted to call TrackStick for service - they do not answer their phone nor emails.On one device, the USB interface apparently failed. It appears to powerup and the GPS appears to lock on, but it is impossible to get data out. On the other, the GPS module failed. The device connects to a computer and appears to work, but no GPS data is ever received.Before they failed, the devices worked very well, which is why I bought a second one after the first one failed (and I couldn't reach TrackStick for service). But no more...Do not buy this product.
