Awesome!
Received my synergee ez curl bar today and I am very pleased with the quality of the bar, but was also impressed on how it was packaged! It was solid! I ordered an Olympic bar from Walmart a few months ago and their packaging was a total and complete failure. The tube it was sent in didn’t even hold up to it’s shape. It was bent, and the ends were cracked and taped. Never again.Back to the bar, I read in other reviews that it arrived a little oily to prevent rusting. It did, but I’m ok with that. A simple wipe down with a rag or cloth helped. I also read that someone found it difficult to find plates for this bar. It’s not that hard. I bought the synergee fractional and change plates and they work perfectly fine with this bar.In my humble opinion, Synergee has proven to be a great brand at a very competitive price.

Price, availability, packing all top notch however...
I am “torn” on if I like this product or not. The packing was excellent. The price is ridiculously low and it’s one of the few options available right now.Mine did have a small amount of machine oil, happy it did to protect the bar. Wiped it off easily with a rag. It will take a while to complete work out. Suggest using 3 in one oil to dilute the smell if it bothers you.The packing was excellent, cracking into a safe would have been faster. The size and shape of the bar is as expected. The collars done feel like true bearings but copper sleeves. This is expected at this price point. The spin is slow and restricted which is fine for this style of bar.Weights fit well in the bar.The oxide finish is okay it’s thin on the ends and has some marks but nothing to worry about. The knurling and everyone’s complaints how bad can it really be? I have never experienced any knurling even close to this aggressive. It does feel like it’s tearing into your hands. I am a little surprised I did not know it could be this rough. It’s usable but it is a little intense. One of the reviews mentioned a cheese grater which seems excessive but it’s actually a decent analogy.Amendment: use some 3 in 1 oil in the bushings and cleaned the bar. There was more machine oil that I expected so now it’s nice a clean now. And the spin on the bushings is 2x better. $8 3 in 1 oil, 10 minutes of time. Worth it.

Best bang fo the buck olympic curl bar
Overall I am very impressed with this bar and would definitely recommend it. I ordered the hard chrome (didn't want red, I wish they offered other cerakote colors) and the finish looks good and is very even. Even though the hard chrome finish is fairly corrosion-resistant, it (like most other finishes) needs maintenance to pretect it from rusting over time, like cleaning and light oiling. The knurling is on the more aggressive side which is exactly what I wanted, and the machining on the collars looks good. This is a personal preference, but The collars do spin VERY freely which on a curl bar I would prefer they didn't spin as easily. One last thought is that this bar weighs about 20lbs compared to some bars which are 30lbs and I am glad it does. You can still fit 3 x 1.5" machined 45's on each side (not that you can curl that much) so plenty of weight and this offers a wider range of weight options.

Knurling is sharper than an Ohio Power bar
This bar is fine for covid19 curling but as soon as manufacturers restock items this one is going on facebook marketplace. I'm fine with aggressive knurling on a power bar where you need it but its kind of ridiculous on a curl bar. Also for having such good packaging, my bar was pretty scuffed up. If you need a bar, it will do, but that's about it. Also it appears the manufacturer raised the price significantly during covid. Was watching a video review on the bar from about a year ago and it was half the price. Nice going on that.

Great bar, and I’ve used a lot.
I bought this ez curl bar for our home gym where I’m helping my son on a weight training program.I used to sell commercial fitness equipment and rehab equipment, and also managed a few fitness equipment stores in the local area. I’ve also been weight training for about 40 years. I’ve seen bars made in Sweden all the way to China and US (some were great, some barely passable as fitness equipment). This is a winner. The bronze bushings in this bar are very smooth, which is important if you’re lifting heavier weights. It also illuminates the squeaking that you get when using the bar. The finish is nice and doesn’t appear to be chrome plated on, which always flakes off after a few uses. The knurling is good and deep. Last, the bar’s ends have tightly machined grooves on them which helps prevent the Weights from sliding off if you are not using collars.Lastly, the bar arrived in bulletproof cardboard tubing with hard rubber ends that were screwed in with four wood screws. Even after taking the screws out I had to get a screwdriver and hammer to knock the ends off. I appreciate things that are well packed.I didn’t weigh the bar, I’ll go with the 19 pounds as quoted in the literature. I rounded up for my son to 20 pounds. If you want a bar that is quality and is going to last a long time, I don’t think you can do better than this.

Rust after just a couple months
Sad to say that the shaft is heavily rusted after just a couple months. Spent a good chunk of money on this hoping to avoid disappointment but unfortunately I am left with a rust bar that I’m going to just drop off at a recycling center. Steer clear of this one.

Best curl bar thus far 🙏💯
Built by Alexander, QC by joe. Only know that because it’s hand written in a QC sheet in the package! The packing was def overdone to ensure no damage. The cardboard itself was a battle to open. And it came out the box with a little metal lubricant used to protect the finish. The giró is perfect, and the bearing work flawlessly. It is a 2” diameter shaft for standard 2” weights. Couldn’t be happier. Even came with a P.O (used to reference your purchase if there is damage on arrival)

Good bar, could be better for the cost.
Solid feel of quality, but for the cost, I’m going to be picky. The ends aren’t directly in alignment, so if you spin the bar, the plates wobble pretty significantly. The coating is slicker than snot, knurling is just about useless, I may strip it. I was surprised how short the sleeves were, I prefer to use smaller diameter plates, but I won’t be able to fit enough..

Good bang for the buck, Definitely one of the best budget friendly options
Bar came as advertised, but had a few blemishes. Their customer service responded very quickly and we came to an agreement very easily. The good:- The mountain style knurling is very good, and while it may throw off people who are used to very passive, featureless grips on their bars, it is definitely not a cheese grater as others seem to comment.- The 28mm shaft diameter is what sold me on this bar, as other "budget" offerings only had 25mm shafts, which are no good if you have even slightly larger than "medium" hands- Snap rings on the sleeves! Other offerings were all hex screws, and those are a PITA to deal with.- Sleeve spin is sufficient for a bar of this type, unless you're the kind of weirdo that does clean & jerks with an EZ curl bar...- Angles in the bar are sufficient for performing most lifts painlessly (I can't curl with a straight bar, it kills my elbows. This one's good)- Bar weighs a little under 20lbs and feels sturdy. I'm unlikely to ever reach it's weight limit in my training, but the 850lbs claim seems credible. The not so good:- Sleeves are ribbed, which may be a no-no for some, but at this price point I'm not complaining- There were some blemishes on the sleeves, but again their customer service was on point and quick to respond.- Sleeves are a little on the short side, as is the bar itself, which may not be optimal if all you have are bumper plates. I personally like this as it keeps everything closer (seriously, who wants to curl with a 7' bar...) and it is unlikely I'll ever need to put more weight than I can fit on the sleeves for the kind of exercises I'll use this for.overall 9.5/10, would reccomend to anyone who does not want to pay mad dough for a Rogue bar and still wants a good bar to make gainz without messing up their elbows and vary from dumbells.

Excellent curl bar
Great bar, high quality build, ergonomics are bang on .Dont bother trying to pry the ends of the packaging off they are wedged in solid into the tube.I cut the packing tube at the top , bent it back and pulled the bar out.

Highly recommend.
Love this bar as the quality is extremely high all around. The knurling is nice and grippy and the weight sections are well lubricated. I will warn potential buyers that mine was covered in lubricant when it arrived but it comes off easily with a paper towel. Very happy with the product.

Great product
My product arrived damaged, but I'm sure it's not the companies fault, looks awesome, sturdy and the attachements are very very good quality, for the price you can't beat that. I recommend 100%.
