Fit like a glove! This Saved me Time and a huge headache.
I knew I was in trouble when I was pulling the cylinder heads off of my 98 CHEVY SUB K1500. The old/stock exhaust manifold was not coming off of the heads that easy. I had to use a crowbar and hammer to get them off the truck. Figured out that the old manifold had warped, this made it impossible to get stock manifolds on, so new headers it is! These were a trouble free fit. The only reason I give these a lower rating is because of the welding splatter is all over, some part needed grinding and touch-up. The paint on the headers is durable after a "bake-in" period of running the truck. I don't remember a bake-in period described in the instructions. I treated them like a freshly painted set of headers. Following the instructions from a VHT headers spray paint can, I ran the vehicle for 10-min warmup, then cool-down for an hour or so. 20-min warm-up and 1 hour cool-down. 30-minute drive and then cool-down again, after that the new paint smell was very faint and durable.

Easier than I thought it would be and good value
The finish seems fine. Nice thick flanges. I have a 97 Suburban 5.7 K1500 and these fell right into place without modification (they fit in from the top by myself). The kit came with bolts to engine block, flange bolts and 1/2" spacers for the spark plug wire looms (with new, longer bolts) as well as gaskets. The longest part of this project was getting the old manifolds off. Great Value for the money.

Sounding good!
Great headers for the price and easy to install, also has emissions tube at perfect angle, paint does come off fairly quick but I didn’t buy porcilen coating to pricy!

Great Product, Awesome Amazon
I put these on a 1996 C1500 LT Suburban and they are a great fit. Yes they are not chrome, and yes the paint will peal off, but if you are looking for some direct fit, high flow headers for a great price, then these are them. Amazon had the best price and shipping. I live in Hawaii and it was way cheaper to purchase at Amazon then on the economy, add in free shipping at it's even better!

Installed without a hitch and look nice too. How ever it doesn't matter
1997 Chevy Tahoe 5.7L. Installed without a hitch and look nice too. How ever it doesn't matter. 8k miles later the welds broke on the passenger side at the flange where the 4 pipes meet. I would not suggest buying these.

DO NOT BUY THESE HEADERS
I had my shop put these in my 97 heavy K1500 when they said my old ones were cracked. These new ones cracked before the truck left the shop. DO NOT BUY THESE HEADERS!

Good replacement for stock manifolds
First inspection out of the box revealed a few areas with weld spatter (not very noticeable once installed) and some scuffed paint that was probably from rattling around in the box during shipping. The flanges are nice and thick and the hardware seems to be of high quality. (3/8-16 thread with built-in flanges and undersized heads for clearance.) I did not care for the included gaskets and used the ones that came in my top-end overhaul kit. This part number includes the port on the left header for the EGR tube as well as all the parts and instructions to modify the power steering bracket and hook up a heat riser tube. The heat riser tube and power steering bracket modification were NOT required for my vehicle, nor have I seen any '96 and up 5.7l engines that would require them. The headers do protrude farther than the stock exhaust manifolds on the sides, but the collectors mate well to the stock Y-pipe. I need to fabricate a simple heat shield for my heater control valve, a modification mentioned in the instructions as Suburban-specific as only the suburban models have rear heat. I have not had a chance to run them yet, but when I do, I will comment on how they sound.

Three Stars
Couldn't keep the flange tight, had to throw the manifold back on until I can figure something out
