This mat has to be the best value for the money. I say “has to be” because I have not purchased some of the other similar higher priced mats. However, I do own a Tekmat brand Sig Sauer P226 mat and comparing that mat with this AR15 mat, I can find zero difference. They seem identical in quality. The thickness of the mat is exactly the same and the backing looks identical. I would give this a 6 star rating if I could just for the fact that it has zero branding on it and doesn’t display some cheap Chinese company name on it anywhere!The only negative thing I can think of is that small parts such as roll pins blend into the color of the mat and are difficult to find when set on the mat. I recommend using a parts tray or setting a white cloth or piece of paper on any mat area you might set small black parts on.Given the included cleaning swabs and the fact that this doesn’t have any Chinese labeling, I feel that this would also be a fantastic gift for any AR enthusiast that builds, cleans, or tinkers with AR15’s.

Typical, run of the mill, cleaning mat. It is comparable to a mouse pad. Remember those, mouse pads?It's not a cutting mat. It is not made for working on top of. It just protects your "tools" from damage while you clean them. It'll absorb spilled oil too (this is a good thing). I do not use harsh solvents on my "sporting gear," but I imagine they made these mats with this in mind, it will likely be just fine.It also came with some handy swabs and a cleaning cloth. Honestly, I'd rather put the cloth aside for my electronics and cameras. I do not run a scope on my "sporting goods," because I have nowhere to practice any respectable long range. It's nice that they think about the guys and gals with expensive optics though!Didnt really need the cleaning supplies, but the overall price is about the same as any other cleaning mat, so why not? I'll take em. Sweet little bonus.Also, the graphic is cool, but hard to make sense of. BUT, it IS good for identifying the actual name of a part you might need. Very helpful. Instead of going to the sporting goods store and asking for a replacement "spring-a-ma-thing," you'll be able to properly identify it. There are plenty of youtube videos that are more helpful than any diagram.Overall, affordable and a nice addition to the work bench.Happy sporting folks, be safe, and enjoy the outdoors.

Great product. I bought this as a laptop and mouse pad. Works great and looks beautiful. The graphics are very clear and the feel is nice. It has a kind of cloth bonded to the top with the graphics on it, so the foam is basically covered at the daily contact points. I would expect to get many years of use from this, and would definitely buy another if needed. It may be a little small to clean a rifle on, but I have a larger cleaning mat for that with attached trays for that with this same logo. It would still work for that purpose if that is your intent, but there are bigger mats out there if you need the room. Overall, a great product at a great price!!

I got this for my husband it's bigger than what I thought it Would be it's nice and sec and the graphics are pretty darn cool

Awesome mat and includes (i'm guessing) about 100 wooden stick cotton swabs. The mat is so nice, almost don't want to use it as a workspace. It has somewhat of a cloth surface versus some hard plastic surface that I was expecting. No issue with it, but don't know how hard it will be to clean or how gunked up it will get over time. However, great value for the money!

Love this mat.If I had to throw a complaint out there, just for review purposes: I'd wish it were a little bigger, but, I've got plenty of room for a completely disassembled AR-15, and the tools I need to work on it.
