This is one of the better trail cams available kn amazon
I have been meaning to get that second trail cam to place in the wooded area behind my house. Being an amateur nature enthusiast and the asian David Attenborough of course. I do like catching the videos and images of wildlife near to where I live. I have now placed two trail cams 20 metres apart behind my house, and hopefully catch some great images of foxes, squirrels and for some reason spiders loves to build webs in front of the camera. Also I am hoping to catch bigfoot in the act or the odd extra terrestrial on occasion. One can only dream. The picture quality compared to my older trail cam is really good at 20MP and 1080p recording. The colours are great and although not as good as my iphone x, it could possibly be as good/better than my iphone 6S. At night the light helps capture animals even at a good distance away. It has been fairly hot and dry lately and even when it rained the other day, I actually had the camera inside to check footage. So I can’t really state how well the waterproof feature is, but being IP66 rated I would assume fairly good. The trail cam uses SD card up to 32gb for storage which you would need to purchase separately. Like all the other wildlife cams it needs a lot of AA batteries to come to life, but at least they actually last a long time before recharging. Overall these two trail cams will be good enough for a while, and I will be bringing them with me to Borneo in 6 weeks time to capture the more exotic species.

Capture The World
The camera itself is solidly built and water-tight meaning it will be safe in this typical English weather.I went for the all black model and it looks cool but i do believe theirs a camouflage color too if that's more your style.Set up is quick and easy. Just pop open the camera using the clips to the side, insert batteries and select your desired setting via the on-screen menu.I found the image quality very good and the night vision works flawlessly. If your not overly fussed about crystal clear images i would scale the image quality settings down a tad to extend the battery life. All in all this is a great budget trail camera and is packed full of your usual features. Recommended.

UPDATED REVIEW - Ideal for low-traffic gardens
Update:So after my previous review I was contacted by the manufacturer to see if they could help resolve some of the feedback issues I had provided. Absolute top marks for customer service, I cannot fault that at all.Unfortunately, there still remain fundamental issues.I find that the 0.2s trigger speed is not reliable - with images captured often well in the frame (therefore taken after 0.2s). That said, at least I did get stuff in the frame! My garden has high traffic with rabbits, squirrels, badgers foxes and deer, but manufacturer feedback seems to be that trying to capture all this will have an adverse impact on battery life.... as a result this is my main complaint.I have gone through a 20-pack of batteries in 2 weeks, which is unsustainable. I was advised that rechargeables would not be ideal either and where possible stick with alkalines.I found that video length and in fact camera reliability fell of a cliff when the battery drops to about 1/2 to 2/3rds full.Only recording ad-hoc clips, and capping the video length to 5 seconds. So after more testing and lots of emails with the manufacturer (again to praise on their customer service and responsiveness), my conclusions remain on par with my previous review.1. Heavy on batteries - so if you have a low traffic garden or ad-hoc use, then it'll be fine.2. using the full 20MP setting is a waste of time, reduce this down, save some battery power & memory space.3. Weather sealing is great, this has been out in wind, rain, hail and hot sun, and has been no issue at all.4. The side sensors are not hugely reactive, I can't replicate or see where the 0.2s trigger speed comes from.5. Price, fitments, portability and ease of use are all very good, no complaints.6. Seller is open to answering questions or provide guidance on usage.Ideal cheap camera trap for low traffic or suburban gardens.Original:I get that this is a cheap trail cam, as such my expectations were not high.I've got a lot of wildlife around my garden and I got this to compliment a couple of other cams I have - one of which is an equally cheap "swann outback cam".On paper this camera wipes the floor with it, higher resolution, faster trigger speed, better refresh speed, more IR LED's etc. In reality, it's no good having a fast trigger speed if it doesn't trigger at all...I had some carrion that I put out for anything that would take it - I put it right in front of this camera and it missed everything - I had a couple of 'empty' photo's and no contents and the carrion vanished. The claimed 20MP is not 'true' - it's interpolated and it only has a 5MP sensor, which means that the quality is not actually as good as my 'true' 8MP swann.I found it burned through a full set of brand new batteries in about a week, and this wasn't heavy photo's either. On the latest recordings, I'm only getting 5 seconds of video - meaning that the badger that I've only seen in our garden once before started to walk into the picture, then the video stopped... and didn't even retrigger. On the positive side - this is a cheap camera, but I would suggest abandoning the 'video' setting, go back to photo's only, reduce the quality back to 5 or interpolate to 8 (to save battery).Would I buy another? no probably not - I would spend a little bit more and get one which reacts and responds more reliably.

Sadly its a 5MP camera not 20MP
I bought this camera over the multitude of other cheaper Chinese made trail cams as it had a 20MP sensor. However after receiving the camera and reading the instructions I find it has a 5MP sensor and the 8,12,and 20MP modes are just interpolated. So of no value what so ever. Don't be fooled by the specs

Well built camera with easy set up
Well built camera with easy set up and a very useful screen allowing for easy review of pictures.Image quality is very good for day shots and almost as good for night.Battery life seems good too, I've just taken a mix of over 150 pictures and 10 sec videos and the battery meter is still green. However vendor (whose customer service is excellent) advises that battery life will be much reduced if longer night recordings are required. As the majority of the recording I require is the night life in my garden this camera does not fully suit my needs hence the 3 rating.

Quality
Have been most happy with this camera, had an issue which was dealt with very quickly by the sellers - would recommend this item for anyone wanting a reasonably priced camera to capture wildlife etc'

Recommended.
I love this camera so far. I have a few and have ordered others that I've sent back. This has the best sound of any of the 6 I've had and the video is pretty clear. I've only had it about 6 weeks so I can't comment on reliability, but this is the one I've recommended to friends.
