I got these more as a decoration than a functional pencil, but I was pleasantly surprised to find that they write very well and fit nicely in the hand. The lead is hard and doesn't leave me worrying it will break. The biggest drawback I have found is that they are messy - bits of the bark have a tendency to flake off of them and one of them kept making my hand itch. That being said, they are a natural product and some flaking from the bark should be expected. They make a great addition to party favors! Or as an added design element to a forest room like mine.

Fast delivery. Perfect for my son's Living Room Campout themed sleepover for his birthday! We used these an added favor. The kids did a scavenger hunt and used the pencils to mark off what they found from their lists.

Fit the theme very well for a woodland baby shower. Everyone loved them other then them leaving wood shaving on their hands. They worked very well for them to write there answers on game cards. Description said there wasn’t a “DOT” on the top of the pencil to create the illusion of the lead going all the way through but when arrived they had the DOT. Just keep them natural with out the permanent marker dot on top of the pencil.

These were perfect for a "rustic themed" bridal shower game. We put the pencils in a mason jar on the table and they looked super cute plus, they were ready to use when the guests needed to write things on paper for one of the games.

Very unique as novelty gifts, but I imagine they would be hard to sharpen. I placed them on a table during a bridal shower to be used by guests to play games, and they write well, just like a normal pencil. Everyone liked them enough to take them home to their kids.

Love these pencils! I bought them for my baby shower and I'm so excited for them to be used! The shower is Classic Winnie the Pooh theme, and these go great with the rest of the decorations. I'm sure they'll be a hit with my guests too!

I used these for a woodland themed baby shower for guests. Very cute pencils, but they are super messy and flaky. Also, I thought they had a weird smell to them. They were just too messy for people to actually write with them. They're only made for looks and the cute idea of them, not practical.

Great for my end of the year "camping day" theme in my classroom. I have purchased these 2-years in a row and have not been disappointed. I'm just not sure how to sharpen them.
