You Have to Stop This (The Secret Series Book 5) Kindle Edition

I downloaded the Secret series after reading reviews on Amazon. I am an adult over 30 years old and love books such as Harry Potter, Percy Jackson, and Kane Chronicles. I was looking for a similar series to read on a vacation for mindless fun and fantasy. The secret series is amazing, I could not put the books down and read all of them within a few days. They are funny, the characters are absolutely adorable, and since the writer is writing for children, you can overlook things that you normally would not for adult books. The books had their fun moments and I love how the friendship between the three lead characters develops, the books are also a good role model because they follow a similar thought as Percy Jackson series that "different" does not mean "bad", take that all the "mean girls" and "bullies" at school.When I have children, this is on their reading list. Highly recommend for kids and adults like me who like such books.

Aside it all, this book series was great; But I felt almost underwhelmed when reading this final book. The rest in the series were tremendously great. But I felt as though the MC (Cass) was slightly dense and uncaring in this finale. Personally, I think her friend (Max-Ernest) deserved more credit for what he did; he was a reliable friend & more than enough trusting. He helped her through all of it; yet he was only awarded with a small apology and that was it. But, overall-- this book & the series altogether were great. Memorable characters & an eccentric plot overall! Great read.

I've been reading this series to my daughter for months, starting with book 1. The stories are funny and SO suspenseful for her. She was 9 when we started and always gets so aggravated when I finish a chapter because nearly every chapter leaves with a sense of suspense and foreboding. She begs every night for me to read more. We're about half way through this book and you can definitely get the sense that the climatic ending is approaching. Truth be told, I've enjoyed reading this series as much as she's enjoyed listening.

I love the main characters and their unique differences compared to other people in this great series all leading up to The Secret! Everything was great and nicely suspenseful except the ending. Why PB did you not tell us about the later paths of life the children took in the future in the epilogue?!?!?!?! I wish there was another book in the series but come to think of it if there was another book about these intriguing characters this serie would just not make sense.Anyway it's is a good book for people who don't mind some scary scenes or genres and for very adventurous people. :)

My daughter LOVES these books, you can often hear her laughing while reading them. She's 10-years old.

Before I get cracking on this review, anyone considering this book should first read the previous four books in the series otherwise you will be completely lost. The storyline is intriguing and there's always something different around the corner. And I truly appreciate the authors engaging and very humorous writing style, especially in how he will insert something random into a chapter out of nowhere that makes you raise your eyebrows in how did he get from point A to point B? If you have kids, this is the book for them. It's a good wholesome family read.

This whole entire series is a must have for young children. There's mystery, adventure, humor, magic, the crazy author in general will just steal the hearts of readers young and old!I've had some disappointing endings to great series, a couple of which pretty much ruined the reading experience of the previous books, and I'm happy to report that this was no disappointment.

This book is great as usual in this series, but if you really don't like suspenseful endings that don't explain things, (even in the epilogue) this probably isn't your book. A shorter way of saying this is that it builds up and then BAM… The End. I hopes this helps, and have a good day. :)

My daughter (age 10 ) has read all the books in this series, and this is her favourite. I would definitely advice it to children around her age.

This series was a real find for us. His style is funny and engaging and the story rips along at a good pace.My 9 year old and I are reading our way through all 5 books together and she really identifies with Cass. Geekish boyus would identify with Max-Ernest and more active boys with Yo-yoji.Great sense of humour too.Highly recommended for a practical child (boy or girl) - no princesses, but lots of adventure.

This book is the best book ever. It has an amazing plot with a mixture of ghonres such as mystery, adventure and a slight bit of romance. My favourite character would have to be Owen because of all his different disguises. I think he is witty and chilled. If there was one thing I would change it would be how the author keeps wasting pages and chapters of his own back story and life instead of just getting on with the story. Also I find how the romance between Yoyoji and Cass ruins the best friend atmosphere around the three friends. Apart from these few small faults this book is perfect for ages nine to twelve and definitely deserves a five star.

This stunning finale had me shocked. I'm just amazed. So happy I found this series. Thank you for existing! I'm going to read it to my nephew.
