Ending was not great
Obsession by Jessica HawkinsBeau did not see the revenge coming but when it happened he was angry and wanted to find Lola. He wanted to destroy her? Lola played the final card which not only hurt Beau but herself as well. While Lola has disappeared, Beau is intent on finding her. He goes through all the motions of being angry, looking for revenge and ultimately looking at himself and realising the part he played in this game. How shallow of a man he became because of his money. He realises that he loves her and not because she turned him down but because she is his equal and she owns his soul. Lola has hidden under the radar while doing a road trip. The trip opened her eyes up to discover what her future may hold. After looking back on everything that they had endured, she knows she still wants him. With her unexpected news and the realisation that LA is home, she heads home. Can Beau convince Lola that he wants her without the games? Can Lola ever forgive him? I must admit I was a bit disappointed in this book. The story lacked a building climax and was lacking conflict. Nothing much happened and most of what did made reference to things that we had read in the previous books. In my opinion, I felt like the author was struggling to conclude this book. The ending was really a bit of blasé and the dialogue was awkward. The head hopping between the characters was confusing. I was hoping for more of a dramatic ending. Overall the series was good but I did feel a bit let down by the ending..Hot Books & Sassy Girls Blog

If sugar sweet highly unlikely endings are your thing, this is the book for you.
So again, I hate that this book is so stupidly short. But even that glaringly obnoxious flaw isn't as irritating as abrupt left turns and complete departures from a characters pattern of behavior. The second Lola got a "happy" surprise I just skimmed it until the end. I mean, 2 stars for the writing but I had to deduct 1 for the length, 1 for the butchering of the previously complex characters, and the last is for the ridiculous jumping around. Otherwise, I loved this serious and most others will as well. But make peace with the fact that the first book will be the best, the second is a passable sequel, but the last 2 are a hot mess that completely deviates from what you enjoyed so much about the first 2 installments. But at least I have a new authors work to explore, so I can't be mad at that.

Ending rushed to many loss ends left more questions
Lola grieves Beau's loss in her life but still after what he did to her she misses him. Beau's feels a rollercoaster of emotions towards Lola , first anger, heartbreak, fear and love. Someone played him at his own game and he hated how it felt. Beau's private investigator finally gets a small tip when Lola uses her credit card to stay at a lodge. Beau gets on a plane to confront her at the lodge she is at , she is gone before he arrives. This happens a few times then he returns to California. One more clue she is heading to the Grand Canyon , he finds her and they talk. She makes him grovel for forgiveness , he has to feel and express his love before she can go to him. The book ended to fast to many questions. She reveals a surprise to Beau that he already saw in a dream . Needs a free book to explain lose ends.

Fabulous!!
What an ending to a fantastic story. Just fantastic. I couldn’t stop reading. I devoured the words on the pages. I just could t get enough and I just HAD to see what was going to happen next! Was he going to find her in Missouri? The elderly couple! How fitting! New Orleans? Texas? It was magical to watch Beau come to the realization of just how wrong he was. What she did wasn’t right but he never would’ve understood where she was or how she felt if she hadn’t.I was happy to see that Brigette found her way also. She needed that. But Beau and his transformation was just spellbinding. And Lola. I just love Lola. They deserve each other. Now that all the crap is out of the way.Fabulous series. Highly recommend.

Enjoyable Series. Great Characters!
This series was totally worth the read in my opinion. I thoroughly enjoyed getting to know Beau and Lola/Melody. I must admit that these four books 4 very reminiscent of the movie “Indecent Proposal” as far as the plot and story line, but that’s where it ended in the comparison. The aspect of these books that I enjoyed best is the growth of the characters within the story. Watching each of them learn valuable life lesson added quite a bit of depth & further detailed their personalities. After reading many of the reviews I noticed folks were generally unhappy that there was no epilogue, however, I think I’m going to side with the author in that it wasn’t completely necessary for this story to reach his conclusion. And just for the record I think it’s twins. 😉 That being stated, I would very much like to see another book in the future detailing how Beau and Lola handle the upcoming challenges of their life together and that could also include how things go with Brandon and Beau’s sister. Overall I thoroughly enjoyed the story and could not stop reading to the next book. I even purchased all the audible versions and Christopher did a beautiful job narrating these books.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Two books in one day, I'm hooked but please tell me it doesn't end there? I know I've one more from Beau's point of view but... *sigh* I love this series.** Book details, potential spoilers below **In a game of cat and mouse you never know who will be victorious, during Obsession this was the case and it also wasn't clear who was the cat and who the mouse.Beau was unravelling day by day, the loss of Lola interfeering with every moment of his life until finally he realises how badly he screwed up.Lola's surprise for Beau at the end was something I predicted and I was so glad to be right. It was nerve wrecking, exciting and I'm eager to read things from his point of view.

A captivating series
Have to say I really liked the story and was gripped throughout, however I was disappointed in this. Beau's ego was too big for the planet. Really he propositions a dancer with morals, she says no so he waits ten years to proposition her again by backing her and her partner into a corner, basically screws her over and rips out her heart and then doesn't get why he's in the wrong. If I was lola I would have told him to jog on, take all of the money and moved away and started a new life. Go back to school or set up a business. Lola was played by both men. I got her need for revenge but why allow him back.I loved it, great characters, dialogue and storyline just a shame its broken down into four books.First book by this author but I don't think I would buy again unless it's complete.

Good Book
Glad to see they stopped hurting each other and realised how they are hurting by their previous behaviour. The little twist at the end of what he dreamt and what has happened was nice and would have liked to see where they went from there. What happened next maybe a epilogue for a few years later as a reader I do like to see what happens .

Good conclusion to a cut above the average series
The last book ended with Lola having extracted her revenge on Beau and this one flawlessly continues with the realisation from both of them that there is more to life than manipulation and money. It plays out interestingly and not without a few more bumps in the road they are travelling. I would have liked an 'epilogue' to wrap things up a bit more completely as I felt it could have had a more conclusive conclusion.Overall a very good series which must be read in the correct order to fully enjoy the story, none of them are 'stand alone'.

Amazing
Theses books really stole my heart. Jessica Hawkins is currently a favourite author of mine after reading these books and previous series. These books became compulsive. I wrote a review after book 1 but from book 2 to now I just clicked the 5stars because I just started reading the next book in a hurry to see where the story went. I fell in love and my heart was broken many times. I would highly recommend. It has some pretty hot scenes too. Read and enjoy.
