Best harness we have owned
We have gone through a few different harness styles and sizes as our Aussie has grown. We have always felt as though we wanted something with a bit more control from the harness and the leash. This is hands down the best one we have ever had. I think we like it more than he does. For size reference, this is our 38 pound Miniature Australian Shepherd. We went with the small and we even tightened the straps about a half inch to get a solid fit. He loves this harness as it doesnt restrict his ability to move and run. The handle on the back is one of the best features. He loves people and kids but he likes to jump up at you so we went with the "Ask to Pet" patches, not because he has aggressive tendencies, but because this allows us to control him in public to allow people to pet him.The build quality is top notch. I love that the chest buckles are metal. It adds in durability, but also as a cool looking design. The mesh is great for keeping the dog cool. While this doesnt offer the breath-ability that other harnesses have, I do not notice this one making it hotter for him in the sun. The other straps and the "Y" design in the front do a great job at keeping the dog secure and also helping with choking. The "Y" design helps the chest piece sit just under the throat so when he does want to pull a little harder on walks, it does not choke him at all.Overall, I cannot recommend this vest/harness enough. We are not military but we do like the tactical design to this.

Perfect for narrow-chested breeds
I needed a new, light, summer vest for my service dog and have had issues in the past with straight-fronts fitting him right without impeding his movement. The Y front is perfect, very adjustable, sturdy, and a month later we are still very happy with it.

Best Harness ever!
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. I generally don't rush to give reviews, but these vests deserve it! I have a 90lb Dutch Shepherd, and being as high energy as they are, the first half of the walk is usually him, nearly choking himself out with the chain style collars, and then finally settling down. He is generally very well behaved, but gets VERY excited for walks, and sometimes tend to dart out after cats or small critters... Fast forward to putting the vests on, He really seemed to like the harness! He didnt try a single time to remove it or seem at all uncomfortable, but the real surprise came on the walk! He was walking with me and my son, at a normal pace, and when he did go further ahead , he never tried to pull me even once. Sure enough he found a cat half way around, and a light tug made him change direction and ignore the cat. I cant believe something so simple made such a huge difference!

Good vest/harness
Vest/harness is well made, very adjustable. It is one of the better vests I've bought or seen. I exchanged the suggested medium for a size large. My service dogs chest/girth measures 21" and the large just fits better. The front straps on the large are also much larger than on the medium. Good vest/harness. I just recommend buying a size larger than the measurements state.

While it’s good for trail running
These are well made, and fits our GSP perfectly. While it’s good for trail running, I wouldn’t use it for more extreme purposes. Seems to keep our guy from getting torn up in the brush. We did pimp it up a bit with some morale patches, including a BDU name tag with our phone number stitched on it. We would buy it again.

Disappointing...Was expecting more.
I purchased this harness because it looked sturdy. I have a Lab / Bull dog mix. He's a strong, determined, and stupid. He does not like being in harnesses. Even after tightening this harness down my dog was able to not only get out of it but he chewed up the plastic harness clips and destroyed them. The back buckells are made of metal, but the front buckells are made of plastic. This harness could be strong / better if all the buckels were metal.I was hoping for more... am disappointed the manufacturer chose a cheap buckel...it lowers the quality of the harness.

Buckles do not cut into my dog sensitive areas.
I have an Austrian Shepherd, about 50 pounds. Hes got long legs so every harness I bought, the rear buckles would cut into his front armpit area. This harness does not do that. Rear buckles are covered with padding. Makes lifting and controlling my dog into my boat or truck a lot easier.Very happy with product.

105lbs German Shepherd size Large is perfect
Badass vest. Used every other day for training and long treks in the woods. I placed pouches on the side so he packs out his own water and food. I also attach extra carabiners and ropes, emergency good etc. Its the beat vest ive used for my 105lbs German Shepherd.

Great dog harness and good quality
Great quality and hard wearing. Stops pulling immediately. Highly recommended. I have a mid sized mastiff-sharpee x and fits well. For a shepherd or snow dog I'd recommend the large.
