I like this products as it simply has all the major pieces of the dried marinating herbs you would want in your sauerbraten. I winged the measurement as there is no recipe which is fine as I've come up with my own for Xmas day. I did a 3 day marinade in my garage (it's cold in CO in the winter), hauled it up to the cabin for Xmas, and did a short roast then finish in a pressure cooker (the horror! but man it was perfect). Added in my blended ginger snaps to the sauce and bam! I cannot believe it turned out to be the best I've had and I am talking days later I was still picking at it as I was not so well on Xmas day sadly. So bad to the point (sorry)- it gave the roast the flavors one has come to love if you are a fanatic of sauerbraten as I am from childhood to present end days (49, trust me).

I had bought this spice pack once before and knew it was authentic in its flavor. We traveled to spend time with our daughter and her family and planned to take one of the spice packs with us to make Sauerbraten dinner. Bought the roast and prepped to marinate but discovered I had left the mixture at our home 900 miles away! Panic? No went to Amazon, ordered a replacement and next day we are marinating. Three days later we are making family memories. Dinner was fantastic as always complete with potato dumplings and red cabbage.

This is exactly what I was looking for and it was perfect! I hope they get them in stock again.

I used this to make sauerbraten. Excellent spice blend and fast shipment.

Tried twice to order this Sauerbraten spice, but keep getting mislabeled Gyros spices instead. I get a refund and I’m allowed to keep the Gyros spices. I’m going to keep ordering until I get the right bag, and then open a Gyro business with all the free spices I receive in error.
