I haven’t don’t a super blend me smoothie fast yet but I have implemented shorter 1 and 4 day smoothie days to increase nutrient absorption and allow for some digestive rest. Recommend the book!

Lose weight, be healthy, get all the nutrition your body needs
I’m a huge fan of Jason Vale and have even visited his retreat in Portugal. I have done all of his juice diets before with success but i really do hate cutting up the fruits and vegetables and cleaning the juicer. I also wanted to eat the fiber bits. This fits the bill perfectly. It’s just so easy to throw frozen veggies and fruits into the blender, some coconut water or milks and nut butter. I don’t have access to his powders but used some vegan protein powder instead. The first week I didn’t eat but I now have the odd dinner, however I make sure it’s less than 300 kcal which is roughly the equivalent of a smoothie blend. I have now done 12 days out of my 21, and I have already lost 3,5kg without exercise. This really works for me and I am planning to do the diet over a longer period as I have lots of weight to lose. There are some really good energy balls recipes in the book and you can replace some of the recipes with a similar kind from the extra recipe section at the end. I used the app which is kind of alright. Made shopping a lot easier! All in all I recommend this heartily although I might have preferred to own it as a physical book instead, as it would be easier to see several recipes next to eachother at the same time (I make breakfast and lunch smoothies at the same time and bring to work).

Great recipes but not a great book.
As expected, great tasting, nutritious smoothies. Disappointed again by the lack of an index. If you have a bowl of blueberries you need to use, you can't just look for all the recipes the use blueberries. Frustrating. A lot of the book describes a plan for health or weightloss by using his recipes for complete nutrition. He says the ingredients are easy to find, but I live in a rural area. Never did find tahini or other ingredients for the energy balls. Bummer.

Love this book and recipes
Love this book and recipes! I have done the 14 day and it was "relatively" easy. By the end, I just wanted to "chew". Recipes are very delicious and great variety of flavors. All of the ingredients are found at your regular grocery store - didn't have to shop at any specialty stores. I did lost weight when I followed the meal plans.

Good protein shakes that fill you up
Easy to find ingredients. Quick to prepare and take along. A Ninja-type blender is helpful. Tasty and filling. I had some problems with some of the ingredients in terms of intolerances. NOT recommended for folks with nut allergies.

Lots of colorful pages and recipes, and lots of great information.
This has a TON of info, pictures and recipes. After getting this on Kindle, I am thinking I will get a print edition. SO many ideas. I am new to juicing, blending so this helps tremendously. I plan on getting one of his juice books too. Happy blending!

If you want to lose weight, this is for you
These glossy blend and juice books are beautifully produced - pity they'll get messy and dirty when I use them. They're probably a bit over-engineered. But I will certainly follow the 'diet'.

Good recipes
As someone who has tried Jason's juice recipes as well as smoothies I would say that these are easier to make and there is less cleaning. I find cleaning out a blender much easier than a juicer. I chose to have the recipes when I followed the plan but I didn't stick to the 4 hour rule as I found that if I was hungry sooner than the 4 hours that it was better to have something in between otherwise I was ravenous and not in a good mood!

Recipes didn't represent a detox for me
Not for me so much. I enjoyed the initial read and the hints about getting through a smoothie cleanse and the like, but the actual recipes would have been a step back for me healthwise from how I strive to eat. No doubt would yield great results for those coming from the Standard American/Australian Diet, but if you're already mostly whole food plant based and aiming to keep it low fat, these recipes aren't aligned with this. I ended up subbing my own recipes and felt much better using these, but this obviously defeats the purpose of buying the book.
