first one didn't work at all... they were fast about replacing item! very satisfied

I wanted a decnt quality butane lighter that didn't have the cumbersome safety features. Lighter appeared to be good quality and worked great for about a half dozen uses. The lighter is fully charged with butane and the sparking mechanism works but clearly butane isn't getting past valve.

Does not shut off making me fearful of wasted fuel, however, I’ve only filled it once and use it to light my woodstove. So it’s not leaking. But I wouldn’t gift it because it won’t shut down when letting ho of the button .

This butane "jet" lighter arrived in a pretty fancy presentation box that I could have wrapped and given as a gift...if I didn't want to keep it myself! The lighter is made of metal with a flexible hose...needed to NOT have the lighter vertical and upside down (butane doesn't work to well if it can't get to the nozzle). I filled the lighter per the instructions, 4 times at about 10 seconds per "squirt". Set the flow using the bottom dial with the pullout tab, clicked it on, then pushed the big button...voila! "jet" flame! Not sure why some of the reviews were so critical, maybe bad production run, maybe a quality control thing. Worked great for me. So...construction is very good, only plastic is on the bottom dial. Quality is very good, lights like it's supposed to. Value wise, less cost but not cheaper quality than the comparable ones that look the same. Only ding I would give, a visual fill gauge would be nice, to see how much fuel is left. But otherwise, I would rate this as a great buy for the money.

I was looking for a refillable long reach flexible neck lighter and this lighter fit the bill perfectly. It has a very intense and pointed adjustable flame. When filling with butane, I didn't hear any noise when filling and thought it was not filling. I did it several times per the instructions and when I lit it, the flame came on as expected. I am very pleased.

The lighter won't turn off right away. The flame lingers 2-3 seconds after taking your finger off the button. I found this strange. Stranger still, I received an unsolicited message from the seller addressing this and instructing me to turn the flame height all the way down to ensure the lighter shuts off. Weird. Beyond that, the lighter is enormous. I purchased the KOLIFEGOODS lighter (for less) and it works great. Glad Amazon has a good return policy.

I purchased this for my mother to light candles. She has arthritis and it seemed like a qood quality product after reading reviews. However she was unable to squeeze the button down therefore I kept it for myself for my charcoal grill. I purchased it May 3, 2019 and have used it a total of 3 times with easy light charcoal. I went to use it a 4th time and it will not light. I noticed the safety button has broken off so it is USELESS. I never kept it lit for more than 10 seconds. It is not out of fuel since I can get it to light with a lighter. I would say $20 for 30 seconds is highway robbery. Don't waste your money. There are better torches out there.

It is a good lighter. It lights the candle wicks very easily. Will be great for outside birthday parties and barbecue grill . I will not have to worry about the wind blowing it out while I lite the cake candles. Really recommend it.
