I needed these to complete a tool I am working on. These would go onto battery terminals and then power my machine. I found, however, when simply just splicing them into another wire, they'd fall apart in my hand.Here's what I mean: I cut off the circular ends so I can connect the existing wires on the clamps to an in line amp and longer wires. As I would move the piece around on my work bench while soldering it or what not, the wires, where they attach to the clamps, just break off. What they did was only attach the exposed copper in the wire to the clamp, not the insulated part also. This puts a lot of stress on the bare copper as the alligator clamp is bending as it is being used, resulting in a shear. Then the solder from the wire to the clamp is poorly done. and has a tendency to break from the clamp, forcing you to resolder a stronger connection. Also the pin joint in the clamps themselves, that tie one half to another can just fall out. Thats a hassle too. But. if you feel like dealing with these problems in the name of cost, they are a good deal lol.

So I received 2 pieces instead 5 as the adv stated.
