USB com connection unstable in noisy environment
The USB ports proved unstable for our application - geophysical measurements powered by a solar array in a remote setting. The unit does not have a serial COM port and therefore we could not use this computer. This in itself is not a criticism of the device as much as heads-up if you think your application will be in an environment with high RF noise. Perhaps an optically isolated adapter and pure sine wave inverter would stabilize the USB com. We did not have time to test this possible solution.
