Changing Brands
As I said in a sister review, I am a big fan of Trokar circle hooks. The other name brand hooks say, Gami/Owner/Mustad are high quality and plenty sharp. But Trokar is a cut above. “Tacky sharp”. But, as with all hooks, they don’t stay sharp for long. Problem is, at $1 + per hook you will not replace them when you should (I don’t). I have decided after years, I am going to change to the alternate brands. It’s only human nature, you wii dump a dull 30 cent hook much faster than a $1.10 hook. I also just bought 100pcs direct from China hooks (you will wait 3 to 4 weeks.) They are chemicall sharpened, cost around .10 cents each, and very sharp. Stop using Trokar and change your hooks more often. It’s more efficient.

SHARP
These things come SHARP. They compare well to the Gamakatsu's that I normally use from what I can tell. Now, I'm fishing the Susquehanna, so the biggest cats we have are around 40-50 lb flatheads (so no idea how these would hold up on monster blues that they have down south or anything like that), but for my purposes, they've worked great! Haven't had one bend out on me or anything like that and the hookup ratio seems on par with other premium brands I've used.

Best circle hooks, no competition
Best circle hooks , no competition only issue I have with them is paying the premium price for a premium product

Good ending for all parties
Solid hook-up ratio improved from other premium hooks. I have set aside my other circle hooks since using these hooks for my cat fishing. There are far fewer times where the cats pick up the bait and are able to let go without being hooked. At the end of the day, more fish are caught and released with the desired hook in the corner of the mouth. Good ending for all parties. Worth the price!

40lb big ugly no problem for kooks
Hooks work great do what they are supposed to. My only complaint about them is the gap of hook point to shaft is smaller than I’m used to but that’s just me

I do a lot of inshore fishing and to me these are some of the best hooks on the market. Amazingly sharp.

Best Redfish Hook on the Market
