Bright, feature packed and a huge value for the price.
I've carried this flashlight on a daily basis since September of 2017. I haven't been disappointed. It's held up to my abuse, holds a charge for a reasonable amount of time and is incredibly bright. It is more of a flood light than anything else, it's comparable to my 2011 Silverado's high beam. It throws a lot of light quite a long ways, almost as far as my 300lx Maglite (and it has a telescoping head). It will get hot on it's brightest setting, but the brightest setting isn't what I typically use. It will stun/blind someone if you hit them with it. The modes and ways to activate them can take some getting used to but it's not a problem. It's a novel design and I've come to like it. I love the always on LED under the power button - makes the light easy to find in the dark. One 18650 will last me about a week, using it maybe 30 minutes a day. For the money this has been a great value and I plan on buying another soon.I'd love to see a version with a telescoping head.

This is a great flashlight, hands down.
FINAL EDIT 6/14/18: I have contacted Civictor about my issue with the flashlight and they offered to replace the flashlight free of charge. This is about 5 months after I ordered my flashlight so I'm glad to see that the company is still out to keep their reputation up by providing great customer service beyond the usual 30 day policy.EDIT 6/7/18: After a few months of owning this flashlight, I finally have found my first issue with this flashlight. It now gives me trouble turning on. I'll press the button and nothing will happen. I have to turn the head a bit and turn it back (I use brightest setting always) to get it to turn on. I reduced my rating to a 4/5 only because Amazon won't let me be more precise with my rating. I'd love a rating system that goes to 10 so I could give this a 9/10 because it's still an amazing flashlight.ORIGINAL REVIEW:I ordered this flashlight because I needed to replace my Mini Maglite with something brighter as my EDC flashlight. I'll give my pros then my cons.Pros:1. This light definitely excels in brightness category. This could make for a great roadside emergency light or even a light for everyday carry. I fumbled with the flashlight as I was about to drop it while it was on and I made eye contact with it accidentally for a brief moment. I was left with a nice big gray spot in the middle of my eyesight for quite a few minutes. It's not just bright but it's got some range as well. In my own testing, I can shine the light on the trees along the sidewalk at night and can see the trees light up as far as about 100 feet. That's with surrounding light pollution/ ambient light. I imagine in darker places like campsites you'd be able to see further.2. The batteries that it takes aren't all that uncommon to find. I bought mine right here on Amazon (EBL brand 18650 batteries with charger) but I've also seen them in stores. The battery level indicator light is great too (feature apparently only works with 18650 rechargeable batteries).3. I love how easy it is to turn on. No turning the head (like my Maglight Mini) or searching for the button mounted on the side. The button is located right on the top and it's even faintly lit so it's easy to see in the dark.4. It's water and drop resistant. I've dropped it from a reasonably high ladder with no function hindering damage. Just cosmetic damage. I've dropped it in a puddle during heavy rain with no damage.Cons:1. The first of two things I don't like about it is that it doesn't remember the last mode got used it on so you have to cycle through the modes do get to what you want. I usually stick with the brightest mode which is default every time you turn it on so it's not that big of a deal.2. The second thing I don't like is that you can't "focus" the light for more of a spotlight effect. But the range on it is impressive as it is, so again, not a big deal. Conclusion:All in all, I recommend this flashlight to anyone looking for a good, bright light that doesn't take up too much space.

High quality super bright flashlight.
I'm very impressed with this flashlight. It's a little different than most tactical lights in how it works but the more I use it the more I really like it. I love how the on off switch always glows, makes it easy to find in the dark. It feels real sturdy in the hand. I do like how it's more of a flood light than a thrower, it's really nice when walking at night. All in all I really like this flashlight and I would definitely recommend this to anyone in need of a high quality, super bright flashlight.

Dependable and durable
I bought one of these to try out. My other flashlights kept breaking or didn’t hold up in my everyday life.(I am an electrician in the auto industry) this one is not only very bright but also very durable. I have dropped it 10-12 feet from a lift and it didn’t skip a beat. A few of the other techs in my department have them now as well. My only complaint is that it does get very hot when using it for more than a couple minutes, but that’s to be expected. I have used this with 18650 batteries with no issues as well as 123s. Keep plenty of them on hand because it will burn through them. I am going to order a couple more of these for reserves.

Excellent!
One of the best flashlights in this catagory. This company does it right. There are no lies in its description. I also have the slightly larger one that takes the 26650 battery. Also awesome. This one is more of a flood with a large hot spot and the larger one is more of a thrower with a tight hotspot. Doe yourself a favor and use high end batteries like Panasonic or Sanyo or Samsung. Believe me they are worth the extra money. Don’t fall for what I call “Chinese milliamperes”. The highest mAh you can get out of a 18650 is around 3400 like the ones they use in the Tesla cars.

This is a great little flashlight!
I purchased two of these flashlights to keep handy on the boat. They are very VERY bright for their size and are very compact. The included lanyard is helpful to keep strapped around your wrist. We have found that the rechargeable CR123A batteries work well and yield sufficient battery life to handle most tasks. However, the batteries must be replaced with newly charged batteries fairly routinely (a necessary trade-off, given how bright these flashlights are). I recommend having extra fully-charged, batteries on hand when needed. The glow-in-the-dark end cap / power button is a nice design feature and useful. I have not yet had an occassion where I needed to submerge the flashlight, but I cjan see this being very useful considering it will be used almost exclusively around water. All in all, a nice, little flashlight that easily fits in your pocket and delivers a ton of light when needed.
