Meinl Percussion ES-BK Plastic Egg Shaker, Black

This is a very solid shaker! It has plenty of volume with that standard egg shaker sound to it (it's more aggressive and less sandy and soft than a double shaker). One thing I would caution anyone looking to get one is that it's not as easy to play well than a double shaker, so if you're not a musician and just want something simple so you can jam with friends, this may broughnot be the shaker for you.All in all I would recommend this to anyone who either knows how to play it or is willing to take the time to learn it.

Good shaker, does its job. Pretty small so it fits easily in the palm of your hand. Good price under $3

It is pretty small but sound is OK... I expected something quite more noisy... I need to use a mic to hear the sound in our plays...

Yeah, it's not very big but so what? It's a cheap shaker and anyone with a sense of rhythm can play them right away. I play them myself, but I mainly hand them over to certain people who come over and insist on manhandling my more expensive instruments; often this $2 egg is the difference between them staying or getting kicked out (not worried about anybody breaking them). Wish they came in a dozen different pitches, then I could get them all and store them in an egg carton. Meinl?...

A simple, enjoyable, affordable egg-shaker that has a nice sandy sound.I got it for a small gathering and will bring it to drum circles as well.

It's an egg shaker so it sounds like one. The insides sound a little bit finer and seems to give off a slightly lighter "shake" than what I've used before. I've liked others better but I mean it's an egg shaker so they all pretty much do the same thing. It works fine and it doesn't break easy which is my main concern with egg shakers.

I do not have any experience with or knowledge about egg shakers, but this one seems like a good product. It looks just like the picture and it feels sturdy and well made it your hand. After playing with it for a while I figured out how to make different sounds by holding it differently, and had fun doing it!

Slightly smaller than I expected, but fits fine even in my large hands. Works out well since visiting youngsters can wrap their tiny hands around it easily. Sound is as expected, and pretty easy to control (the small size helps). Not very loud, but enough to match a drum kit being played at "apartment volume".

Ich habe mir gleich 2 dieser Egg-Shaker bestellt, die eine gute Qualität aufweisen. Beide klingen identisch und liegen gut in der Hand.Die Lieferung war wie angegeben und kam in einen kleinen Umschlag verpackt ins Haus.Es gibt Nichts zu bemängeln.

I've owned one of these in the past but my pet python ate it.It's a very ingenious design because depending how it's held it can give a soft "shush" sound or a very tight "shick".Also, its size means that it can be held in the palm of yr hand and be "smothered" with yr fingers creating a much warmer effect.These are well made, cheap & great sounding....what more could you ask for?...a snake-skin handbag in which to keep it????

Bought for a baby on recommendation from another mom. It definitely sounds more soothingly loud than the usual kids shaker. At such a wonderful price, why do you need the kids one?!

Sauber verarbeitetes Produkt mit gutem Handling. Ich habe zwei Stück gekauft, die beide exakt den gleichen Klang haben, was nicht selbstverständlich ist. Je nach Haltung - quer oder längs - lassen sich sanfte, Rohrshaker-ähnliche oder kürzere, härtere Geräusche erzeugen.Die Lautstärke hält sich natürlich in Grenzen, dadurch lassen sich die Shaker aber gut zur Hausmusik oder zu Radio/CD einsetzen. Die geringe Lautstärke ist auch der Grund für den fehlenden Punkt.Fazit: Gut, empfehlenswert.
