Even though the cable is thick and sturdy, the specs say 30 AWG wire which is bare minimum -- it is a bit thin for AV Receiver-to-HDTV at this length (10 feet) because of electrical resistance, but with digital signals, you either get a perfect transmission or pixeling at the other end. . The cable is rated HDMI 1.4 (which is a connector standard and not a cable ating) and supports ARC and Ethernet - eliminating a return audio cable from HDTV to AVR and potentially (depending on components) eliminating separate Ethernet cable to local devices.The connectors are a bit large and will pose a problem for wall mounted TVs with perpendicular HDMI inputs. Should not be a problem if HDMI inputs are side and bottom as the PlugLug cable is quite flexible, but requires clearance to bend.

Works fine for connecting the HP Spectre x360 15t laptop to the Samsung UN40KU6000FXZX TV at 4k@60Hz 4:2:2 chroma. Does NOT work at 4:4:4 chroma (the "UHD Color" mode on the TV). I bought this cable in the last vain hope to find a solution for this problem, but was once again disappointed. When I try to make the connection, the image from the computer flashes briefly on the TV and then the signal is lost. I don't think it's the cable's fault, but there seems to be some sort of an incompatibility between this particular laptop and the TV. I have tried connecting the Spectre to the higher Samsung line of TV's (the 7000 series), and those WERE able to display the image, but even they would then lose the signal for brief instants every once in a while. Anyhow, this certainly seems like a good solid cable, that does its job well, but I was disappointed that there was still no solution to my issue. The good thing is that even at 4:2:2 chroma, this TV still does a very decent job as a monitor for my laptop, and the little bit of aberration that appears around fine text on non-white backgrounds is hardly noticeable. But, the times that I was able to connect it briefly at 4:4:4, the result was truly spectacular.

This is a great HDMI cable. This HDMI cable transmits great looking 1080p video and great great sound. I used it with my blu ray player and a 1080p television and it was a great movie watching experience. It also transmits 3D picture and 4K quality picture, but I do not own any 3D devices or 4K devices, so I was unable to test out the quality of these two video types. The connections on the HDMI cable are gold plated, which is a great touch. I purchased the ten foot version and having that extra length can very great for certain home entertainment set ups. The cable seems very well built and like it will last for a very long time. I would recommend this product to anyone looking for a longer HDMI cable or anyone just looking for a great quality HDMI cable. I received this product for free in exchange for my honest review.

I started buying these a few years ago when we got our new HDTV. I had always used Monster cables in the past but decided to try these based on reviews and price. I had to relocate one of my devices for the TV not long ago but did not have a PlugLug cable long enough so I used one of my older Monster cables. I could not believe the difference in the picture and the sound quality. I am no expert on either subject but I do know what my eyes and ears tell me and there was a difference. My wife even noticed the difference and she could never figure out why I fussed about cable quality in the first place! I ordered this HDMI cable and installed it and everything is back to normal. My wife and I are happy watchers and listeners again! PlugLug makes a very good cable and I would recommend them to anyone.

plug breaks easily if you pull on it too much. For the price item is okay however there are many other companies I prefer to buy from instead. Just an okay and inexpensive cable.

In the past I bought the monster cables for my entertainment pieces thinking they would produce the best picture & sound. Thought I would give these PlugLug HD-600 Cables a try and would I be suprised. I plugged them in to compare the quality of picture & sound of these cables to the monster cable I have. Amazed at the quality, I instantly became ill with myself for not trying them before spending extra monies on the monsters. These cables produce the same quality picture and sound, and their price is easy on the pocket. Buy these cables with no worry and don't waste your money on higher overpriced cables!Gotta Love Amazon!!

I bought this as a Christmas present and had a budget to stay under, this was perfect for that. As for performance, I won't know until after Christmas but I will report back. Stay tuned.

nice product at a great price compared to some other choices out there. compare the specs vs the big price ones and you will see that its just as good at a much better price. Cable is flexibly allowing it to go around corners to reach hard to get to connectors which is nice. Highly recommend this product when using PC as source so you can pass internet connection to device as well. Again check the features, you will not be disappointed in this product.
