Review: Great Fit! - Used this mount to fit a 1990's Savage 110 long bolt flat back so I could add a new Leupold VX Freedom 3-9x40 scope. Also added Monstrum SR-1-p100 rings, 1" dia. with a 1" lift. Fit perfectly! Torqued to 20 in-lbs with Blue Locktight. Make sure your 2 inner screw holes (#2&3 of the 4) measure 4.630" apart & you are good! No effect on ejection of shells, a little harder to top load the chamber than with the 2 pc mounts that were on it, but the Leupold is sooo much clearer that the cheap Simmons scope that was on it. I believe it's a early 90s model 110e.** A: I have an older 110 with the detachable magazine that has a flat top at the rear of the bolt and the round top on top of the chamber and this was the perfect solution, it fits great too. (Mines on a 30-06 so it should definitely work on your 270) **Q: What advantage does the 0 moa scope mount have over the 20 moa version since it costs a few dollars more? i thought 20 moa allows for longer targets.** A: 20 MOA scope bases have an angle to them so you pretty much bottom out your scope setting at close range which gives you more adjustability on your scope turrets if your shooting extreme distances. So basically, it’s thicker on one side. If you’re using it within 2-300 yards, it’s probably better to stick to 0 MOA base **Q: how hard is it to load blind mag through action with this one piece above it?? 7MM Rem Mag??** A: I have a .270 with blind mag and it isn't too bad.
