They do what they are supposed to - but there are some major caveats, and they are big ones.
It fits the description exactly. It is everything as described in the product description. Bright, with timer, and bendable clip. However, it is very easy to read things that it doesn't do and make the mistake of expecting more than is described or using these in a way not intended - but accidentally. The caveats are this:1) rotating base support to position bulb is made of somewhat flimsy plastic and much less robust than reasonably expected. I doubt anyone would put this in the product description. Once the bulb is screwed in, it rotates on a plastic sleeve for direction. I broke the sleeve the first day. I wasn't going to return it because it is easily fixed with transparent tape. However, the following two caveats below will have me either return it or throw it away. It wasn't an expensive item. If I can't return it or I don't follow through, it's not much of a loss.2) Uses standard household thread, but it's expecting very low voltage DC at the bulb base. The voltage is controlled at the outlet and the bulb is assuming the voltage is already transformed a low DC voltage at the base. I discovered this because I screwed a 110V bulb into the base and wondered why it didn't light. Someone doing the opposite - screwing this bulb into a full 110V socket will most likely hear a pop and see a small explosion - good thing I put the high voltage bulb into the low voltage socket. These bulbs also look very similar to bulbs expecting 110V and it is a very easy error to make.3) The timing circuit is completely manual to turn on. If you want to use this as a plant light, you must turn it on every day. The timing circuit is only for shutting it off - and it doesn't automatically cycle over 24-hours. Furthermore, this can't be plugged into a timer because when the timer turns off, the lights do not. If you want it on for 12 hours a day, you must turn it on every day manually, then hit the timer button a few times to get to 12-hours, then repeat it the next day. The fixture is manual on, but timed auto off.As a plant light, it's pretty useless there is someone who enjoys routinely having to turn on the light every day at the same time, then pushing a sequence to engage the auto off timer. Since the fixture is only manual on, the only thing it is good for, is as a light that will turn itself off if I leave the room.It will not serve my purposes at all as a plant-light that goes for a predetermined amount cycling over 24-hours. However, since it uses low voltage bulbs, I can't even put my own bulbs in the fixture and use it as a desk or room light - well I could, but they wouldn't work. For an explosive firestarter - do the reverse - but these bulbs in a proper 110V circuit (SARCASM - not recommended, but its a very easy mistake to make)

So far, not impressed.
My lamps arrived yesterday and I opened and set them up today. I ordered five of these lamps and have already noticed issues with a few of them. One has an arm that is so loose I can only use it clamped to a horizontal surface. If I clamp it to a vertical surface, the arm continues to droop far past where I want it to be. I tried to tighten the nut where it is attached to the clamp, but it wouldn’t budge. Another has an arm that droops towards the lamp end, but the fitting is tight, so it appears the flexible arm itself is just a bit weak. Lastly, a third lamp has flickered as I adjusted the direction of the bulb, the bulb is screwed all the way in too, so it is not loose in the socket.So far, I’m not impressed with these lamps but hope they serve my plants well and ultimately the lamps have a long life. I’ll update my review in a month or so, once I’ve had time to evaluate if they’re truly beneficial for my plants.

Well designed light for small indoor start-up!
This is a very sturdy and well made lamp. It produces ample light to start seeds and get your garden going. The light arms are well made and hold the lights in place very well, and the clip is strong - unlike other brands that barely hold. The only gripe I have is the amount of light produced from the bulbs. It just doesn’t cast a very bright light very far/wide - so this is for small applications.

Bulbs would not light after couple of months gentle use
When I set this grow light up one bulb was a bit temperamental, and had to be in just the right position to turn on. I had this set up on my kitchen counter over a hydroponic herb garden and it was set to automatically turn on and off, so basically did not touch it. We returned from a 10 day vacation and one bulb, the temperamental one was out. I bought new bulbs and changed the burned out bulb but it did not work. I moved the good bulb to the burned out side and it did not work and when I returned to the socket that had been working it would not work. So the grow light is now non functional. Very poorly made product and I advise not to buy.

Not Working after 9 months!
“Update”I found out how to contact the seller, they are fast response and quick resolved the problem.“Old Post”After 9 months is not working. It’s warranty 3 years but I don’t know how to contact the l seller. If anyone know please let me know. Thanks!

Love it, Great Quality!
Really happy with this purchase! The design is sleek and nice, very sturdy too. The bulbs are great (definitely not 21 inches like the picture says, they're about 5 inches) they are replaceable and have a wide radius. So, with just these two lights I have several plants under them. The timer is easy to use and works great, shuts off on the dot. It has a brightness adjuster: 10%-100%. You can also have one light on at a time or both. Would highly recommend this light if you're just starting out, it's a great quality for a great price!

Bulbs went out in less than a week(UPDATE): Customer service was great, and replaced my item within a week. So far no issues!

Quality unit, sturdy well made
This light has a large clip on it which you clip to a bar or counter. Works well if you have the place for it and do not require a stand. The arms are flexible yet they will stay where you place them. Different options on the plug for brightness as well as 3 timer options. USB plug equipped also if you need that.
