I did not read the back cover before reading this book, nor have I still. I loved the parts where she wrote about herself, her struggle, and how she inspires herself. I did not realize a lot of the book would be recipes, and exercises to do. If I would have known this, I probably would not have read it. Although, the parts where she had written about herself. She did an amazing job with the book, and that she persevered and did not change her looks based on what others told her. I would recommend anyone to read this book, it is a well written book, but just know you are also getting some recipes and exercise ideas as well.

She is so pretentious and naive without meaning to be. I wish she had more substance. A little more real and less stuck up robot.

I couldn't put this down! I love the performing arts so this was so this was an extra great read for me. Lea talks about her start up to her career now. This book is much more than that though. There's sections on beauty, working out, lifestyle, etc. I've used her hair and face mask recipe from this book and love both of them! This is just a great easy read for anyone interested in all of these things!

I was sad when I finished this book. It was vey good. I loved the writing style, it was very personal and informative. I enjoyed actually getting to learn about her life and that she has some of the same problems we all do, pimples, watching your weight, friendships, losses, etc. I love Glee and Lea Michele, reading this book gave me a sence of the person she is. It felt like she was my best friend while reading the pages of the book. I enjoyed the pictures she included as well and the intimate look into her life and childhood. Family and Friends are important to her. I have used some of the tips she included in the book and actually tried some of the food suggestions, I am trying to eat better and her book helped with that too. I loved the beauty tips and how she was so relateable and how she included tips for middle class people who cant afford the expensive spa treatments.

I've always been a big fan of Lea Michele/Rachel Berry. I love Glee.. I wouldn't say it's an obsession but I try to follow what shows she's going to be one.. I love her voice. She has one of those voices that you can't get out of your head no matter how hard you try. It's an acquired taste but I think she has an amazing voice! I could listen to her sing all day. When I heard that she was coming out with this book, I was excited. I wanted to know how much goes into being Lea/Rachel. I cannot believe that she has time to do anything, she's a workaholic!! She's very grounded though and that's a good thing, especially when you're in "show" business. She has her family and really good friends that support her and help her stay that way. She also has a very special and complicated beauty routine. I myself have been on Accutane twice as well as she has and I have not found anything that has worked on my acne (I'm almost 28 and I still have REALLY bad acne) and knowing that there are celebrities out there that have gone through the same thing makes me feel like they're normal at heart.I'm also glad that she mentioned Cory but didn't go into detail (which I'm sure A LOT of people were expecting that). She is very good at keeping her private life private and that's very hard in Hollywood.In a way, a very small way, she makes herself sound like a diva and I think that's okay. She has the chops for it and she's been on Broadway and is starring in a hit TV show and plenty of awards under her belt. She works hard for it (as described in the book) so she deserves everything good that comes to her.I really enjoyed this book :) I can't wait to see her do great things!

I loved the experience Lea Michele takes you on while reading this book. Michele gives a very detailed inside scoop of her life at the time. Her advice is practical and helpful even to those who may not be in show business. I purely read this book due to my admiration for her work, but I would reccomend this book to anyone needing a little more guidance on how to navigate the wonders of being an independent young adult. Once again, I loved this book and getting a taste of knowing who Lea Michele is outside of her work.

I haven't read it personally as I purchased this as a gift for my daughter. However, she really enjoyed the book. Its much more than a memoir and is far beyond your typical teen star type of book. Lea Michele is one of the rare celebrities I feel comfortable with my daughter liking and the book seems to cement that feeling. My daughter said she found the book "relatable and full of interesting things." That's good enough for me.

Really good book! What I loved the most is that it can be read by anyone, no matter if you have or have not watched Glee. Her life story is so interesting and a proof of strength and hardwork, and the tips she included are a really useful read for everyone.

and loved getting information from her, but sometimes, as mentioned before, I wanted more information, she said she would go back to talk about spring awakening at another time but hardly anything was mentioned, same with glee, only a few pages. But there was lots for exercises and food, hair and make-up etc. Would have preferred if it had more information about Lea herself, rather than advice, but overall was a good read.

I love Lea Michael she is a amazing talented person who inrisped me. so I know I had to buy this book I love her in glee, scream queens and Lea voice is excellent. I like the way it talk about the way Lea was bought up, fashion tips, food and lifestyle. It is a good book it arrived early but the condition was not that great there was marks, a dent in the back of the book. But the dent not that bad you can hardly see it. If you love Lea Michael then this is a book for you. I love Lea Michael and Rachel berry from glee.

I love this book. Such a nice read and so inspirational

Bought for my 16 year old daughter who is a true Gleek! She loved the book, read it very quickly. She learned a few things about Lea that she didnt know before. Well worth a look for any Gleek out there.

Brunette Ambition by Lea Michele is a really good book. It proves that there is much more to Glee star Lea Michele. It is a bit expensive but i do recommend it.
