'The Button' is a fantastic mini-crossover arc between the Rebirth "Batman" and "Flash" titles. While the Flash portion of the story was written and illustrated by it's regular creative team, Jason Fabok (Darkseid War) takes over pencilling during this arc for Batman. The collection is only made up of 4 issues, but contains story critical to connecting the bridges between “DCU Rebirth” and “Doomsday Clock”.In the small picture it's a great opportunity to have the World's Finest Detectives team up in a worthwhile case. In the larger picture it is a story that is changing the DC Universe for the better and don't let anyone tell you otherwise.Warning: This book will have little to no context without reading "DC Universe Rebirth" first.

I purchased this story in preparation to read Doomsday Clock. It's relatively short but the story stays focused on Batman and the Flash. As they try and investigate who or what has killed the Reverse Flash, they find themselves in a time adventure combining elements of the Flashpoint Storyline with the current DC timeline. If you're aware of Doomsday Clock and what's to come, you're mainly buying this to learn more about how or why. My only knock on it is that it should've included the story about Wally West and his connection to the button. All in all of you're planning to read Doomsday Clock ( like myself) you probably want to read this first.

The only reason I didn’t give this a 5 star review is of my own fault as I haven’t read the flashpoint story or watchmen. These two books could bring the story to the next level however I can’t get too emotional with it.

A little confusing unless you read all the main issues, flashpoint, rebirth...

This comic is a prelude to the Doomsday clock event.And it worked pretty well.The artstyle is kinda inconsistent but it is nice at some parts.I definetly enjoyed it.

Over all it was a great story but it just felt like there was a missing piece throughout. Probably because I haven't read Flashpoint. There us also I whole plot based on Wally West which we didn't get a whole lot if context on nor did we get it expanded upon (I don't know weather the start of this wally plot is in flash point)

This is related to doomsday clock, but the payoff is not that big. It's related, but you won't miss much if you read doomsday clock directly. Individually this book is okayish.
