GEEKOTO Flash Speedlite for DSLR Cameras

As a professional photographer, I look for three things in all my equipment purchases: 1) Value 2) Reliability 3) “Get’s the Job” done. I’ve only had the GT65N a couple of weeks but it seems to hit on all three. In terms o f Value, this flash has output comparable to the Nikon SB 700 (GT65N Guide No. 35/ SB700 Guide No. 28). So you’re getting actually a little more power for about 1/3 the price. In my book, that’s a good Value. As for Reliability, only time will tell. But so far so good. It hasn’t missed a shot yet and also seems to do pretty well on battery life. In terms of “getting the job done," I want a flash that meets the demands of each situation. Since the GT65N has all the features of a comparable flash from Canon or Nikon, I have confidence it will get the job done. Whether it’s iTTL/eTTL meeting, High Speed Sync, fully tilting head, or the ability to act as a radio Master, the name brand Speedlites have nothing on the GT65N. Plus it has some nice additional features you won’t find with the name brands. For instance, it comes with a wireless 2.4 GHz remote trigger, so you can easily use the flash off camera for more creative control. (Unfortunately - and this is true of most wireless triggers - is you can’t use High Speed Sync with the wireless remote - the flash only does HSS when used on-camera.) The GT65N also supports S1 and S2 slave modes – the name brand Speedlites from Canon or Nikon don’t. Finally, you can use the GT65N with both Nikon and Canon cameras. As the owner of these two systems, it’s nice to have one flash that works with both. So for me I’d say this is the right flash to get the job done at the right price!

At first I was a little reluctant to buy this product because of the price and the brand being basically new to me. But, I was very surprised after the using it for the first time. On camera - it works perfectly on all the settings. Off camera - it also works perfectly, you just have to ensure that the battery you use in the transmitter is up and running. It seems to eat the batteries for breakfast, lunch and dinner if left in the receiver and flash so I take the batteries out when I'm not using them.

This is the third Geekoto product and the first flash I’ve purchased. I wanted a feature rich product (TTL, high speed sync) that didn’t break the bank. This Geekoto flash, just like other products from the brand fit the bill perfectly. It is a solid quality product and at a fraction of the price I would had paid for any other third party product.I like that the wireless trigger was included. The flash came with a good case that I don’t think I will throw away as long as I’m using it.Recommended for anyone who’s getting into flash photography!

I am incredibly happy with my Geekoto tripod. It is solid! I was iffy about it at first, given that all the photographers I know have very pricey tripods. Despite the low price on this geekoto, I would happily pit it against other expensive, high-grade ones. As soon as I take it out into the field, i will update my review to include photos. Geekoto, you are a gem. Stay that way!

My second speed light. The first one was from a store and it was not quality. This one from the time I opened the packaging I knew I would be pleased. Took a few shots and was blown away. Everything connected seamlessly. Wonderfully surprised! Thank you.

I purchased this flash for my light-box product photography. I needed a portable and mobile flash I could mount anywhere on any angle and it does its job perfectly. You can place it on any flat surface and it holds well, although I wish you could mount it on a tripod as well. The wireless communication hasn't lagged yet and I'm very pleased with it. Definately would recommend.

This is an excellent external flash! The wireless works very well and having TTL is a great feature.

Good price great deal. I have Nikon D7100 SLR and I wanted to give a try by purchasing this device to see if it is good enough to capture pictures without shadow behind any pictures taken. Here you go! Worked well! This basically saved my money to buy Nikon brands Flash lite. Who cares as long as light works well and I get what I wanted. Good stuff!
