The timer is just an addition to my collection and I'm very pleased with it. It arrived very well packaged and in it's own "gift" box as well. That's nice if you are giving it as a gift. I haven't "timed" it except to observe that it does indeed run for fifteen minutes although I do not know how precisely. Don't use it to time a cake in the oven. :-) But if you are a collector, I'd say go for it. And it would certainly make a nice gift for anyone who may enjoy this type of decor.All in all I am very pleased.

Very pretty. Smaller than I anticipated, but worth the price.

Very nice looking and it seems to be made of quality materials. It has a gothic look to it,the sand is white and sparkling. A very impressive time piece and work of art!

Accurate 15 minutes. I use it to count my daily guitar practice time. And it's so pretty!

Had to come from mainland China, by boat, so it took a month to deliver. I was hoping it was all metal, but the base is plastic I think. The two screws in the center is kinda weird. Plus all the white plastic stuff going on the the taper in the middle is also off putting. When you turn it upside down the weight of the top with sand makes it sometimes swing sideways, but you can balance it back. Idk, kinda a cheap Chinese thing i guess.

Packaged with such care! Nothing broken or missing. Assembly was simple: just screw the piece into the base. Worth the price.

I expected it to be bigger than it is, but it is acceptable.

I bought this to help people think about time and opportunity slipping away, for an exercise-for-independence presentation. It's really too small for that purpose, but people have seen hour glasses before and they grasped the concept just fine; it got the point across. Now it is gracing a book shelf. It works; it swivels nicely and stays put if you keep the side nuts tight (snug them up about every 3rd rotation). Mine runs 15 minutes on the dot. The storage box is lovely, but the sticky packing tape was across part of it. I took my sweet time gently removing the tape, and the box was not damaged.

I haven't used product yet..Its first outing will be in a couple of weeks.. However it it lovely..I am delighted
