If you love taking pictures and making videos, but always find yourself struggling to find the perfect lighting. Then I Highly recommend you purchase a ringlight. They really can make a big difference in the quality of your pictures and videos. This 18" LED ringlight by #geekoto comes with a Phone Holder that fits all iphone and Android devices and also comes with a screw in attachment head to fit your camera or camcorder. This ring light is equipped with an aluminum alloy stand, which allows you to adjust for height & has a 360 degree rotation. So you can choose the best height and angle you need. The height of the stand range goes from 19 inches to 73.6 inches. The outer diameter is 18 inches and the inner diameter is 11.8 inches. It comes with a travel bag so you can take it with you anywhere. #geekoto Ring Light comes with a plug in power cord but it also works with batteries. This ringlight has Color Temperature & Brightness Adjustment and they both can be adjusted with the two knobs that are on the right side of the control panel back. It goes from 3200k to 5600k and has warm to cool lighting with a wide dimming range from 1% to 100%. It contains 576pcs LED lamp beads and is made with a thick flitter to provide soft light to help eliminate shadows. The LED light head can rotate 180 degrees, which allows you to choose the most appropriate angle. I enjoy using this light with my product shots and my makeup look pics.

It's a great kit for home or office use where you don't need to move it a lot. The light control is great for portraits and "talking head" videos. The only drawbacks for me are that the tripod isn't very robust, which is fine. The cost was clearly all put into the light unit itself. Good choice! I'm fine with replacing the tripod as I expect to strip the screws within a handful fo set breakdowns.The only other functional drawback is that while you can use batteries instead of wall power, you can't charge batteries on the unit with the unit plugged in. You have to charge them on a separate base. Again, neither are huge dramas when you consider the great price, tiny breakdown storage size, lack of heat output, and great light quality.

First off let me just say it straight out, this ring light is awesome. If you are on the fence about getting it, just get it and don’t look back. I am a prosumer photographer. I had a ring light before that was a big name brand which cost me a fortune. Any other photographer out there knows how much name brand photo equipment is. It finally broke down and I was in need of a new one. After months of searching and being on a budget I came across this ring light from Geekoto. I own a Geekoto tripod and speedlite and their products are not just budget friendly but work just as good as the name brands. I didn’t know they made ring lights too so when I saw it, I jumped on buying it. Mainly because of the price. I mean come on, compared to name brands this ring light is like 1/5 the price….and I am glad to say functions just as good.The main thing I was concerned about was the light temperature. I already used this for a portrait shoot and the temperature range is amazing.What I love about this is the dual power. Not only does it have ac power plug but you can use sony batteries for wireless power. I actually used this to do a shoot up in the mountains near a campground. The relief of not having to carry a huge inverter into the woods for power was awesome.The ring light itself is huge. It can fit camera as big as a canon 5d to a medium canon rebel to a small smartphone on the center screw mount. But when using a camera larger than a rebel make sure you use an extension. As a camera the size of a 5d is wider than a rebel, it may touch the sides of the light and make for a tight fit. Also when a dslr is on the mount, make sure one of the tripod legs is directly in front as the dslr adds front facing weight and I likely to tip over. Also around the inside of the ring light are cold shoe mounts. That means you can put mics, monitors, etc on it.The tripod stand is average. Now I won’t say its heavy duty but it does the job. The main screw to tighten the legs is metal which is great. But the twist screws to tighten the extensions are plastics. I mean it’s not bad but I would prefer metal for durability.The ring also bends at the neck where it mounts to the tripod stand. I took some macro shots and was able to bend the light 90 degrees right above the subject.Overall, you cannot beat the price and functionality of this ring light. You can call it a budget light all you want, but you cannot deny its premium functions.Bonus use: Not that I use it all the time for this, but it did come in handy when I went camping. It light up the entire campsite when it was pitch black. Came in handy.
