Remo ES1022-00 22-Inch Ebony Ambassador Bass Drum Head

My story: I accidentally tore my original reso head pushing muffling through my newly installed port hole( I used one of those circle, cut out, gadgets made specifically for the objective— think spy movie cutting circle in glass)... anyways, the set was given to me by my beloved father who was a drummer, himself, up until he passed away from cancer, so this set means more than one might think, and when I tore the Remo Head with the Yamaha decal printed on the front I got super depressed until I figured out that the remains of the Resonant Head was unmanageable and irreparable— I went to the Remo site and messaged with customer service and they helped me figure out which head I wanted. This was the one. I also ordered some Yamaha decals to stick on the head if I really feel like it will bring back sentimental value. I think the head looks good just black for now but I do plan on slathering the logo on top just to make things like they were. I have always tuned my drums by ear, but recently I chose to measure the depth and diameter of my drums and tune them accordingly with my Drumdial. Afterwhich, my drums sound more confident somehow. Although I do muffle them with old shirts to make sure no one is disturbed by me learning things like quarter note triplets on the snare over a jazz Ostinato on the ride with quarter notes on bass and hi hat on 2+4

Great Sound with this Head also Cool-Looking if Looking At the Back View of the Drummer,to bad audience can't see that.I Fine-Tuned this to a Powerful and Dramatic THUD!which i like.Update:After 5 Months of Use it Broke,i'm going back to Ludwig at least They Last,this may Look Cool,But That's It.

I bought a used 80s Tama kit, and put new heads on all the drums (different brand - flashier, 2-ply heads everyone on YouTube said were great). No problems until I got to the bass. Seems there is an issue with a slightly too-small hoop on this kit. Anyhow, I finally ordered a basic, 1-ply known to be one of the thinnest, and it fit perfectly. I wasn't sure if it would fit, so I ordered from Amazon because I knew they would take it back if it didn't. Was very happy overall.
