Authentic Hand Made All Broomcorn Broom, Long Handle Small Broom Head (48-Inch/Parlor)

Just a simple broom corn broom, exactly what I wanted.

I received my broom today, took it out of the box, and went straight to the kitchen. My cat took one look at it and decided it was ok to investigate, but was probably wondering how you plug the darn thing in. I could also tell my cat was figuring out how to escape once I fired it up. I started sweeping and my cat was puzzled - it only made a swishing noise, nothing like the vacuum! No escape was needed.I do not own one of those sweepers that you use a cloth once and toss. I had an old broom that was plastic and really just not functional. So then I found this. I like that I can quickly sweep around the kitchen - no noise, no plugging in the vacuum. I got the parlor size because my kitchen and eat in area are small and this can maneuver into small spaces. It sweeps very well. I like that I can sweep and no one in my family will holler at me that I am making too much noise. The only suggestion I have is that it would be nice to have a hole drilled in the handle at the top so I could run a leather tie through it and hang it on a command hook. Another plus is made in USA!

I bought this after discovering my $800 cordless stick vacuum won't pick up pelletized pine cat litter from the laundry room floor. I wanted a small broom to quickly corral the pellets a few times a day. The petite size of this broom was perfect for this purpose, but unfortunately the bristles are so stiff and brittle that it is useless. With each use, more of the bristles break off the broom. I have a larger high quality Amish-made corn broom in my garage that is excellent, but unfortunately this little one is not. Additionally, I would think that at this price, the maker could have at least drilled a hole in the wood handle so a hanging loop could be added by the buyer. On a petty note, I detest red, so that was also not in its favor, but I could have lived with the obnoxious color if it at least functioned as a broom. I gave it one more star than it deserves, because I really liked the wee size of it.(I have also attached a photo to show the incredibly wasteful shipping carton. At least a dozen of these brooms could have fit in that box! )

The way things are these days, you can pick up all sorts of cheaply made brooms at a dollar store...However, the huge difference in QUALITY makes it worth the extra money! This little broom is very high quality! It's perfect for the front porch of my log cabin. My husband asked if he could use it almost as soon as I took it out of the box! The head of the broom is rather small, so if you're looking for a broom to do large areas, you may want to look at the other brooms this company offers. For little jobs like sweeping small areas, or in our case, sweeping off the log walls on the front porch, it's perfect.

After running all over the place trying to find a STRAW broom, with no luck, I searched and found this gem. I have a small workshop (sewing, embroidering, etc) and this broom is a life saver at the end of my workday. Gets into tight places and corrals all the runaway threads. So much better than the horrible synthetic brooms you find most everywhere at the big chain stores. Very pleased with this purchase.

The broom is as shown...however, it was in a box that could have shipped 50 brooms. . What a waste of cardboard and shipping cost

Dainty broom, perfect for the older kids to use and help mom with chores, great for getting behind the washer and dryer where dust collects, behind the toilet, etc. I appreciate that it's made in America and I'm willing to pay more for something made in America. Yes, you can get other brooms made elsewhere for less but I'm pleased with my purchase and happy to support Americans. We would buy another if this one wore out.

I didn't expect it to be as small as it was but it sure doesn't take up a lot of room! It works fine, seems to be well made and is pretty! I like that the product is made in Lancaster!
