I wish to know this earlier
Very good book with helpful links to the videos on YouTube. Extremely to the point very informative. More training available for one dollar per month on Patreon. I wish to know about this book 1 year ago when I started learning. Where I live there is no Motorcycle courses, but MotoJitsu lectures on YouTube super helpful . I got it “ shut up and practice” :-)

It's all in the approach
Don't approach this book like a series of lessons in itself. For what it is, I kind of wish it cost a bit less, but it is what it is. I'd been watching the author's videos for a bit while researching what my first motorcycle would be, and hoped this would be a brief book of his advice, suggestions, some techniques, and the like. But it is not that. What the book is, is a study guide. I do wish there weren't so many references to watch Greg's videos, as I would prefer some of the content to be included in the book itself. A printed book lasts so much longer than the impermanence of the internet. For example, some of his contact information has changed from what he listed it as in the book. It's just an example. So, what is this book? The courses for the drills are pretty easy to set up, and really, you don't need the videos to figure out how to set them up. For example, most are a certain diameter of circle, and weaving back and forth with given dimensions for the maneuvers. Each set of motorcycling drills is a set of goals to work towards accomplishing -- not just, "I kinda did this one this time. I can move on," but especially for the more basic drills, they're things you should be able to do without too much effort. Most motorcycles can do a U-turn of 18 to 20 feet. If riding a 40 foot circle gives a rider difficulty, it demonstrates there is more to work on. If the motorcyclist cannot stop from 20 miles per hour within a certain distance, then more practice is needed. Each stage also recommends additional resources, which I find wonderful. Each tier suggests another set of books by various authors -- books which I'd already started reading before finding this guide -- and books I would recommend in the libraries of anyone who wants to be a safety-focused and skilled rider on public roads. In a way, this book kinda sucks if you want a single book to become better on a motorcycle, with no other resources. I won't gloss over that. However, that is not the point of this book. It is about expanding your sources of knowledge, and it is a series of goals and accomplishments to help you gauge your own progress. All of that said, there are other things I think could have been included, but the benchmarks are rather thorough in how simply a few maneuvers can demonstrate competence and skill level.

Effective system for motorcycle skill progression.
There are many great motorcycle riders and many great instructors. There are many great books on motorcycle riding techniques. Motorcycle handling skills is a topic that is well covered with numerous options to study about safety, suspension, track riding techniques and pretty much every other aspect of riding you could think to write about.Once in a while though, a true innovator comes along and shakes things up and gives us an opportunity to see thing from a new angle. Fast Eddie has done exactly that! One area where there has been a distinct lack of coverage is through the murky (and often dangerous) path from being a beginner to being a capable and confident motorcycle rider. There are LOTS of bad pieces of advice floating around about how to best gain skill and experience riding. A lot of riders don't get a chance to fill up their skill bucket before their luck bucket runs dry. They head out onto the open road and into traffic before they have the necessary skills to survive there. So how you get better without crashing or seriously injuring yourself in the process? Fast Eddie has provided a solution to this problem and has illuminated that path.By modeling his motorcycle skill progression system similarly to a martial arts belt system, the student is able to approach learning using an informed, structured, methodical, and measurable format. No guesswork, no wondering if you're practicing the correct skill. The drills are easy to understand and easy to set up anywhere you can find an open parking lot with good traction. This system is not only for new riders. Using this system, anyone who wants to increase their skill and safety on their motorcycle will "harvest the most meat" per hour of practice than any other method I'm aware of. This book isn't a substitute for taking courses. It is a system for honing your technique and building the instincts necessary to react correctly when your life depends on it...and if you're riding motorcycles in traffic...that moment will find you whether you've prepared yourself or not."I fear not the man who has practiced 10,000 kicks once, but I fear the man who has practiced one kick 10,000 times." -Bruce LeeNo more excuses. Buy this book. Shut up and practice!

Great if you get it 'free' on Kindle Unlimited
This book consists of a several sets of drills to do to improve your riding with basic descriptions and diagrams of the drills. There is no guidance given within the book with respect to preferred technique for doing the drills. You can find that on YouTube videos by the author as well as other instructors. The premise is that you should do the drills in each set a lot (like twice a week or more) until you master them and then move on to the next set which are often more difficult version of the previous drills. Now I like having a simple set of drills to work on and for the price (free for me) I have no complaints. If you do the drills enough that your riding improves then the regular Kindle price is totally worth it as well. If however you are assessing the value of this book based on the page count and the amount of content on each page it won't seem like a very good deal at all. So if you're not on Kindle Unlimited go to the authors website (motojitsu.com) and read/watch his free content and then go and do the work. If your riding gets better (and it should) then pay the man his $5 (the price as of the time of this writing) .

Good
Just like the youtube series, the last few pages of "diagrams" are the best for quick reference when setting out cones and practicing

Practice is: survival, entertaining, educational, muscle memory, challenging and fun
I like that the book compliments Fast Eddie's videos. The book helps me fill in the other 70%. Or at least I am trying to. Long way to go, but practice is much better than pining away on forums waiting for Spring to arrive. I can safely practice and learn in a parking lot and not worry about me or Stupid making a mistake. It's not really a dislike about the book, however, the book can't replace the videos. Watching the Beginner's Playlist on his YouTube site. Plan to watch a few several times over.Fast Eddie is articulate, incredibly knowledgeable, polite and realistic. We all can do similar things different ways. His is just one opinion. But IMHO its a damn good one.Invest in the book(s) and Shut up and Practice.

Super! Absolute Kaufmpfehlung!
