Impossible to use unless you have a degree in computer science
I bought this product because of its advertised "one-touch backup" software. The external hard drive itself seems fine, but unfortunately I haven't been able to use it yet, since the hard drive is inextricably linked to the software -- and the manual for using the software is written in such poorly translated English that I legitimately don't know what it's telling me to do. For example, the owner's manual says things like: "Does the hard disk happen to the bad sector? Please confirm in advance that can prevent an improper operating of backup restore," and, "If your USB HDD has managed already, please skip and move on next context." Long story short, I have owned this for a month, and since I'm not exactly a tech person, I still haven't been able to use it. I'm waiting until the next time my friend, a computer engineer, comes to visit so that he can teach me how to use it -- unlike the product's own manual!

Cords too short, stopped working the day after warranty and no response from seller
Cord it comes with is too short and eventually if you move the computer, which you do with a laptop, it rips the plug out and eventually renders it useless. What's worse is that they don't respond when you try to get in contact with them.

The product works great, don't bother with using the software that comes with it, its too confusing just save your files like you would use a thumb drive. The product is described as having a aluminum case and it is an aluminum color plastic not metal so so the product description is not quite accurate. It works and performs as expected, I would recommend it !

Not impressed with lack of documentation and instructions. No place to resolve errors.
unit seems nice, however, I am unable to backup I get the following error message. Access to the path: C:\Users\documents| My Music is denied.I have deleted all of the music files on my hard drive, however, there are a couple of music folders that I cannot delete. The unit still will not work. if I cannot resolve this issue, I will be sending 11 units back to Amazon. I bought them for all managers at my place of employment. Does anyone know how to resolve this? Thanks

Thumbs up
Excellent for the price. Bought to store all my photos and music when I sold my laptop and it's done the job. Petite little thing with a huge storage space, love it.

Very good product and excellent value.
Works fine I reformatted the file system to NTFS so that I could save folders/files larger than 4GB the drive is well made and I am very happy with the purchase and would certainly recommend it. [ A point to note is that this external HDD is a much better deal and far cheaper than buying a bare 2.5" 320GB HDD than some of the very rip off prices being asked for]
