So it is incapable of providing light for a decent period of time, whether it is connected to a charger only prolongs that period, but doesn't mean it'll be giving you what you paid for when you need it.Honestly, don't waste your money, I have literally gotten no good use of this lamp. So disappointed.

I have been using this now for 3 months and think it is great for the price. There are a few comments. 1 the battery is only good for maybe 2 hours on low so I just leave it plugged in, so no big deal. It clamps pretty good but I have it attached to a 1inch board and it wigghes a lot, probably would clamp better on a thiner shelf. The swktch is behind the goose neck, so have to reach around it to turn on/off. L have the goose nech horizontal and it just barels stays up, wouldnt be much of a problem, but keep hitting it to get at the swjtch.I like the light and would definatly recommend it after reading my comments.

It shuts off on it's own, even after a full charge. Only stays lit 3 min or less I have to wait 5 min to touch it back on. Waste of money. I threw the box away or I'd be returning it.When on,it's on, for 3 seconds, its bright frustrating as hell that it doesn't stay on!Update:: Amazon sent me a new light at no charge, very awesome customer service of them, however it does the same thing. I fully charged it before using it shut off after 15 min, then on and off every 3 min. I don't get it. This free one is going back with the first one. Thanks for trying customer service.

I use this to clip on to my lap desk while I'm doing needlepoint. It works great and gives off a soft white light. We lost power the other night and it was great for that emergency. I love it and its awesome for the money you spend. I'm buying another for my mom and son.update: I went to charge the lamp, it doesn't hold a charge for very long but that wasn't a huge issue. When I started to plug it in something inside of the plug port had broken and it can no longer be charged. I don't know how it happened because it stayed on my sewing desk. Otherwise it was a good lamp for the couple of months I was able to use it.

Loved the small and light design when I got it. Unfortunately the light (even after fully charged) started to turn off every 5 mins which frustrated me eventually. Used it just TWICE. Got a replacement right away, that was not the issue. The issue is that the replacement lamp I got does EXACTLY the same thing THE VERY FIRST TIME I CHARGED IT. Last 5 mins top when fully charged. It’s annoying and I’m returning this one too. Disappointed, I don’t understand how this little lamp can have so many good reviews

Loved this little light the first day I used it. It's lightweight, adjustable style was great, however, it does NOT hold charge. The first time I used the light it worked great! I had to charge it (you can only charge it on a laptop it seems) and it never held the charge. It started going off after a couple of minutes of use and I would have to plug it into my laptop, turn my laptop on, then turn the lamp on. The three different levels of light were great as well. Just wished it would have held the charge and worked like it did the first day. Needless to say, I returned it.

I loved this light when I got it. I use it for adult coloring and it clips to my drawing table. It worked great for the first 2 months, then it stopped working, even when being used while plugged into a portable battery or electrical plug. Like most of the other negative reviews, it stays on a minute or so, then turns off. It's a shame, I really liked this light. I'd be willing to try a replacement if the seller could contact me.

This light balanced nicely on its base and provided good light, however, it wouldn’t hold a charge. It worked great, but only while plugged in. Amazon sent me a replacement, but it’s a different lamp—different size, not as bright, unique barrel-shaped changing cord so it’s incompatible with other cables. Both going back.
