Overkill: Live at Wacken Open Air 2007 [DVD]

What do you expect? This is Overkill. Blitz never disappoints. From one of the original thrash bands that have stayed the course. I've been to at least 20 Overkill gigs and they are all the same. They are freakin' awesome. And I'll go to 20 more if they keep touring and coming to my town. You gotta love the between song chatter of Blitz too. He never repeats himself and is always good for a laugh. The only thing I can say bad about this DVD is that there's not enough songs! And the drummer isn't as good as Malare. But then there's only two other drummers that are. Just get it. It's cheap!

Overkill is one of the most under rated metal bands, any metal fan who is not familiar with this great band, I would strongly suggest that you check them out. This band has been around since the early 80's & have stood the test of time. I would put Overkill in the same ranks as Slayer.

Love it. You cannot go wrong with an Overkill DVD. They're all great; sound, lights, production, playlist. A lot of bands toss out recordings by their friends and fans that are just terrible. Overkill always has a highly produced DVD. Get it!

Overkill the old school thrash metal is a must forvery metalhead out there.I seen them in concert they were awsome.

Pretty ok gig dvd. good audio and video, but nothing extra just the gig and short one of that. But still it is overkill and if you are a fan this will be your choise.

Well, it's OVERKILL!!! One of the best thrashing metal bands!! As I expected, a great show!!!

I'm not sure if these New Jersey Thrashers ever got the recognition for their input in Metal. If not, I truly hope that they someday do. If you're wondering why I'm saying that, then you have to buy this DVD to understand. Releasing great albums, doing great concert, Overkill certainly earned their stripes over the last few decades. Speaking of great concert, "Live at Wacken open Air 2007" is a great testimony of that. Shredding through a (bit too short) set of older & newer material, Overkill prove that they still have the energy & will to entertain the crowd to he max. There isn't much to say about this DVD as it's a great concert. My main issue is that the product itself seems like it was release too quick. What I mean by that is that they are no bonus features or extras about the band or the recording of the show. What happened here is that I don't think the band was still with the record company when this DVD was released & it might've been done more as a contractual obligation than anything else. Whatever the reason was, this is a great concert & should be bought by all Metal fans. It's Overkill, it's Wacken Open Air... What more can I say?
