Easy reading and definitely "G" rated, which is a plus for me.
The stories were pleasant and the mysteries were interesting. The author needs to do more proof-reading though. She misuses some words and makes grammatical mistakes. (Ex. used "your" instead of "you're"; changed gender of the bird three times in one sentence; used the word shimmy incorrectly, should have been shinny; changed the name of one character within a paragraph Preston and Patrick) As an avid watcher of crime programs, I doubt a police officer would let a civilian come to crime scenes with him. Allowing a bird to fly around an ice cream shop would be a health issue. These technical details give the impression that the author is unprofessional, and are disturbing to me. However, the stories were entertaining and I'm still reading them. I would recommend them as lighthearted reading.

Not for adults
Stories more likely suited to young adults. Boring.

Ok, but .....
The stories were ok. Missing words, typos, etc. Worse thing was, the author couldn't keep the characters straight. Numerous times characters were addressed by the wrong name.

Too easy to figure out who did it.
Have read 3 of the novels so far. Cutesy and fun. I think there seems to be a little confusion in editing between books. There are spelling/grammar errors.I knew who did it in each book right away. Some blatant clues that was ignored through investigation by police and Molly. Some character descriptions between each book are widely different. Braxton did not seem troubled in first novel and then WHAM! (Sorry Whammy) it is revealed how upset he is about something. Like the use of Whammy the Parakeet though. He is charming. Is it really possible to train a bird after its wings were clipped? Do the feathers really grow back? Too many holes in explanation of why a character was removed (died) in book one story line. I did not believe the explanation given. Plot flow and character development do not seem realistic between books. So far finds all critical clues to murders before police do. Most cozy mysteries have me guessing more. Definitely a lunchtime or leisure time read.

Sweet Treat Cozy Mysteries & Petite Savannah Mysteries WERE GREAT BUT NOT PEARL STREET KITCHEN MYSTERIES-NOT GREAT!
Loved the Savannah mysteries, first 18 books, couldn't put them down. THE ONLY PROBLEM WAS NO PROOF READING BEFORE RELEASED!!!The Pearl Street Kitchen mysteries nothing like the great characters in 1st 18 books, slow moving, struggled to get thru 1st of Pearl Street Kitchen mystery book. The 2nd book of that series was not as big a struggle, but dry plots & characters in both books. The only thing in common with first two series was the lack of proof reading.I loved the first two series based in Savannah were great plots, interesting characters, lots of Savannah info.I can't believe the Pearl Street Kitchen was written by the same author.I will & have recommended the first two Savannah mysteries series.

Light reading
So badly written and so many grammatical errors, words missed out, wrong names being used, frequent repetitions- doesn’t anyone proof read these things. Having said all that I can appreciate what the author is attempting with the light and fluffy stories mixed in with ice cream and cake recipes- a light and fluffy read if you’re bored on holiday

Oh dear
Poor writing, poor grammar, poor proof reading. It gets two stars because it wasn't so bad that I stopped reading the first book. I won't be reading the rest though.

Curate's egg
Cosy stories for bedtime. Unfortunately there are too many overused words- eg excited/ly/ment; smirk/ed, incorrectly used words - effect/affect etc etc; factual and plot errors; words omitted or unnecessary words put in; punctuation errors and grammatical errors. The final two books are ridiculous. They take far too long to say nothing and have the silliest plots with police taking ages to turn up at murder sites and amateurs interfering with crime scenes. I strongly suggest a really good proof reader is employed.

A great value set! I’m still ploughing my way through it. Very enjoyable.
I’m still reading this collection! I’m enjoying it very much, is just a pity that there are so many errors, obviously not very well checked! However, it doesn’t really distract from my enjoyment.

Buy the 1 set of mysteries only.
Loved the first set with Molly, but the later stories were poor.
