Finally
I don't know why the chapters are ordered the way they are as it seems counterintuitive. However, the author has implemented the KISS method and distilled large concepts into a very concise overview that is highly practical. Too many books I've read go way into theory. This is fine in later chapters but this is essentially giving you what you need to know now woth room for growth later. This definitely helped me feel a bit more confident in my path.

Beginner Music to Music Theory
This was a great layout of information that is digestible and useful. As a beginner bass player with a history of playing music without the theory background, it's made learning bass much more interesting.I've found this to be a great resource as I try to understand what I'm doing with the notes instead of just mimicking songs and styles I like (which is fine too).

Low quality publishing
This book is terrible for trying to learn music theory. Maybe if you already know the subject it's an ok reference. The book itself is cheaply made, its clear they were trying to maximize profit in its publishing and thought producing a quality book was less important. For $30 you get 58 pages (that's more than $0.50/page!) and no examples of how any of the theory that is briefly described can be practiced or is applied to actual music. All of the diagrams are in black and white despite the text saying that certain things are shown in red (and no I am not color blind). There is at least one point in the book where they briefly explain something and then outright tell you that for the sake of keeping the book short they arent going to ellaborate more. The book is short enough as it is, nobody except the publisher would've complained if it was a little longer and actually thorough! I think Mr. Eager was just very eager to make a buck and the quality of this book greatly suffered because of it.

Nice and concise
This really gives the beginner a great start to understanding music theory. For the seasoned player, it is a great refresher to keeping your mental axe sharp.

Ok/Good
It was ok for the cost. Not much detail, especially having already knowing the subject matter. But if you donโt already know this stuff, it is worth the $$

This book contains all of that is needed in music theory for bass players.
This book is a great book for beginners, up to intermediate bass players. Itโs a straight forward approach and is easy to understand and apply. James Eager is an accomplished bass player and teacher. I recommend this book to anyone who wants to advance their bass playing to a higher level!

Solid foundation
My biggest disappointment with the music tuition I received growing up was the apparent failure of theory to cross over into practice. While I stormed ahead in theory, my playing lagged behind, so there was rarely any practical application of 90% of what I learned. This book focuses on the basic elements you need to understand to start with, which you can use as a base to build on and extend from. Much of it was revision for me, but the focus clarified some things Iโd never really grasped properly due to my being confused, either by more advanced concepts that werenโt yet relevant, or by sheer volume of information. If itโs new to you, theory can seem overwhelming to start with, but it will give you a language to understand what you hear and a way to communicate with other musicians.

Tells you all you need without fuss
Not everyone can get to grips with the bass guitar. Randomly browsing YouTube to enhance your understanding can be a bit hit or miss and leave gaps. Anyone who has tried that might be disappointed. If you have never played bass before and have never played guitar either , get it! Logically laid out and just about perfect in length with respect to the number of pages.

Cuts out unnecessary theory.
Supplement a course I am taking from the same author. Just to fill any gaps in my knowledge (surprising ones I wasn't expecting!) Well written and presented.
