Liked it a lot
I use it on my D600, I wear glasses, but I use this without my glasses, it really isolates me from my surrounding and somewhat helps me to engage to what I'm shooting. But my main buying reason was to be able to see through ND filters.Although it is big, when i put my eye on to the visor, I still have a little gap toward my nose that light strays in, not a big deal tough. The material quality is over my expectations, and it feels very solid.Anyway it is much much better than using the original Nikon eyecup and I liked it a lot, and time will tell if I keep doing so.

Good Quality Rubbish
I bought this model elsewhere as it was 'advertised' for a Nikon D5100. Package also stated it was for 5100.It is a quality and a very large eyepiece. so large that it could be off putting for some people.Even on this advert it says for Nikon square eyepieces?Wrong! Although it does fit, it is not for a Nikon D5100 camera with an articulated screen. It is useless, crap, rubbish and should be withdrawn from the market place. To all sellers. I suggest you seriously look at this problem so you do not get any bad feedback. It is not the sellers fault. ( unless they deliberately sell it and mislead you, especially on this site after this warning.) It is the shocking and appalling one size fits all design and marketing concept of the Hoodman. Another Chinese c..k up, rip off.!After fighting your way into the sealed heavy gauge plastic. ( You all know the type by now) Your immediately confronted with this huge rubber type eyepiece. ( it could leave a few who are into rubber, with a twinkle in their eye!!). You think to yourself, will this fit into my already crammed camera bag..!!It required a fair amount of delicate force to snap over the Nikon eyepiece which is now bare. As you have already removed the original. Then it strikes you why you have wasted your money. It is so large it OVERHANGS onto the articulated LCD screen. The plastic end snaps tightly into place, but protrudes onto the top edge of the LCD screen. Forcing into either the shut closed position you left it in. Or if it was open. You now cannot close it. Even the large rubber cup overhangs as well. So you cannot even leave the LCD screen partially closed. What you now have is a camera that has lost one of it mains attraction to function. That is, its ability to articulate your LCD from closed to open / swivel and vice versa. One of the reasons you have a D5100 is the articulated screen, and its many uses.It is a good but very large shape that does cut out a lot of light if you wear glasses. Although I am sure a smaller product maybe just as effective. I am intending to buy as smaller type so some time i will add a footnote. So sellers beware. if you do not want bad feedback or returns that cannot be resold as the packaging is a nightmare. Do not stock it.Buyers beware, if you have an Nikon with a articulated LCD screen. DO NOT BUY it until the manufacturer redesigns it. Very good at preventing unwanted light entering your eye when looking through the viewfinder.
It was just the right amount of covering for the eye and very comfortable. Is also versatile in that you can revolve the rubber cup to suit shooting situations. Had mine a while now and still performs like new.
