5 STARS FOR SURE~!
Very different from any pillow I've ever tried. I found it while looking for a low profile pillow. My neck is very happy and there was no "break in" period. I am mostly a side sleeper and found it very comfortable. There was not much smell as far as I was concerned, but I washed the zippered cover and hung the case containing the shredded memory foam outside for 24 hours on the clothes line. Also, I did NOT wake up in the night needing to turn the pillow over because the pillow and my head got too hot. Great product. Thank you Dreamfoam Bedding for the Ultimate Dreams pillow.UPDATE: After 2 months my pillow had turned into an almost rock hard lump that didn't fill the pillowcase and sure didn't comfort my neck anymore. BUT I discovered what happened. When taking off the pillowcase to wash, I decided to take off the zippered synthetic protective case that came with the pillow. It popped and snapped like crazy making it pretty clear that static electricity buildup had bonded and held the memory foam pieces together creating THE LUMP. I shook the inner pillow case to shake the memory foam pieces loose. Then I replaced the plush protective case with a zippered cotton pillowcase protector. I no longer have the lump problem and my neck and I are once more sleeping in comfort.

Good pillow for the price
Short version: Thick, heavy pillow. Good squishness factor. Odor gone after about a week. Not good for stomach sleeping.Longer version: This is a decent quality pillow. I found that it is too thick for my sleeping style (I'm usually a stomach sleeper), but I decided to keep it because it has a comfortable squishness. It would be fairly easy to remove the stuffing, since the inner "bag" is thin and could be operated on. It also has a thicker outer cover with a zipper. As far as smell goes, it did have an odor when I got it, but it doesn't now. I left it out of the outer cover for a day and a half, which dramatically reduced the smell. Then I zipped it up, gave it a pillow case, and by the end of the week it was fine.

Was hoping for much more
Sadly the pillow is very heavy and retains a lot of heat. We've gotten rid of ours. It's otherwise not uncomfortable.

I like that it was low-profile
I like that it was low-profile, which did not give me neck pains or headaches. I didn't detect any chemical smells/odors from the pillow. The cover was soft and "shaggy" instead of smooth.I did not like that it came with a rip in its cover. It also clumped as bad as my old, cheap pillow.

Too hot!
So sad, I really love the feel of this pillow. It conforms perfectly for me and is so comfortable. (I'm a back and occasional side sleeper.) I was super thrilled with it until I started throwing it across the room in the middle of the night. I'd wake up and flip it, but it still isn't cool on the other side. Then I started actually removing it from the bed in my sleep. In the morning I find it on the floor or on the foot of the bed.I had slept on a pillow at an Embassy Suites hotel that had chunks of foam in it and loved it, but haven't been able to find that same pillow. This one has the same feel, but the memory foam temperature is just not working for me. I keep the room super cool at night, so it's the pillow, not the room.I give the comfort of it a five, but the temperature is a zero for me.

My Search is Over
Ultimate Dreams Queen Shredded Gel Memory Foam Low Profile Pillow I have been searching for a low profile pillow for some time due to always waking with neck strain as a back sleeper on too high a pillow. There just aren't many low-pillow options out there. When I saw this on Amazon, it immediately grabbed my attention and I ordered one of the the low profile, standard size, to try the shredded foam. The first three or four nights I did not like the pillow at all and pushed it aside. A couple nights later I tried it again and found it had mellowed out a bit and felt really good on my neck and head. Even turning over on my side I can scrunch it up and reshape the foam pieces into a supportive profile. This is the best I have found in a long time and at a reasonable price. I did not notice any odor at all. I also have a Tempur-Pedic Cloud pillow but prefer the Dreamfoam low profile. I am going to order a second one now that I know how well it works for my sleeping needs.Edit 12/31/2016: I have had these two pillows for almost 3 years. I have slept on them since those first few days of breaking-in time and they are still as full and supportive as when they were new. I don't know if they are still available, but the Dreamfoam low-profile has been the solution to my pillow-related sleeping issues.

A little thick, but comfy. [Low-Profile Version]
I wasn't sure about using something that was basically food-processed foam/gel, but I am now. This is the most comfortable pillow I've ever used. It stays cool, and doesn't eventually form a 'pocket' that wakes you up. No matter how much pressure you can apply with your head, it doesn't lose shape, so it keeps your head supported the entire night. While it's a little thick for me, it's better than thinner memory foam pillows you can buy at large retailers (I'm looking at you, rhymes with "SmallCart").Note:These are a bit shorter than a Standard pillow, so it will be normal to have about a third of your pillowcase empty (at least the three different brands I have available). You also need to decide between having the tags or dust cover zipper covered with the pillowcase, as they're on opposing short-ends.

Perfect for my toddler
I got this pillow for my 17 month old daughter. I needed something on the firmer side and very low profile to be safest so it didn't puff up around her face. This pillow is perfect and she LOVES it! It offers her great support for her head and neck, is comfortable without being too firm or too soft, and was the perfect thickness for a toddler. She has slept so much better during naps and at night after getting her a pillow, and she took right to it. The money spent was worth every penny vs getting a special "toddler" pillow that is half the size. The only downside was that it arrived rolled up in a tube, which made the inside gel foam bunch together in hard lumps. A little creative mashing to break it all apart solved that problem in just a few minutes.
