fabulous design
I have several Mesa safes. This is my first wall install. Very robust as I was able to install in a 2x6 wall - depth adjustable - great design. The key override is great for when the batteries get low. HIGHLY recommend this product and this brand.

Expansion worked great!
The safe expanded so I was able to put it deeper into the wall. It was easy to install and for perfectly between the studs.

Not impressed!
Installation was hard. Storage capacity is way less than the safe it replaced; although it's footprint is larger. Although this review form requests you to rate the "fingerprint reader"; this safe does NOT have a fingerprint reader... so if it was supposed to; that is news to me.Going back to the storage capacity; It's so small that we couldn't fit half the stuff in it that we had in the smaller one we used before it.

Would have been easier to install in standard 2x4 or ...
Would have been easier to install in standard 2x4 or 2x6 wall. My house is a modular, studs in center wall are turned sideways.
