Better Tools 60106 Banana Knife Gripp'r Utility Knife

These are very good knives I had one for about 4-5 years and beat it up doing construction work I would recommend this over any other retractable knife out there and I've probably used them all I ordered two more recently because they're the best the grip is awesome and they are easy to operate

i used these knives years ago but they dissapeared from the market. when i used them from before they were almost indestructable. however, it seems the product line has been sold to another manufacturer and i have had nothing but headaches with these knives. the retraction button breaks off almost immediately and the hinge pin falls out almost at random, most times to be lost. sad, this was a good tool

I love this knife! I have been roofing for over 30 years and this is the best utility knife you can own.A little update. The button that retracts the blade just broke off.Contacted Better Tools by email and they sent a replacement!

Didn't hold up like my original banana knife. I had such good luck with my original banana knife(over ten years) working construction that I was excited to get the updated version and retire my old one for use in my garage. This knife seemed well made like my last one, but after a month or two of use the button which retracts the blade broke off. Disappointed because the knife is very comfortable and easy to change blades. I may try to get a replacement but not sure it'll hold up either. Three stars is all it gets from me.

Easy to change blades. sculpted handel elimanates slipping. Blade slides out easy and locks great no blade slipping. Worth the money. holds five extra blades.

My husband bought this and these are his comments. Did not last. They just do not make these good anymore. As a contractor this is an everyday tool. I really liked the old fashioned ones but can't find them anymore, this was the closet there was but this is made cheap.

I have an original from 1998-1999 that I have completely worn out. This knife has a good weight and feel, however you can't store nearly the same amount of spare blades. The original could hold almost 15 extra blades, however this updated version can hold about five.....Not good.They have added the contoured grip and a magnet inside for whatever reason (it just takes up storage space) I may get out the rotary tool and grind out the thing, I never minded that my old knife would rattle when in my pocket. The magnet is a great idea, but completely unnecessary.I will use this one until I ware it out, however I will grumble each and every time I have to change or refill the spare blades.

Lost the one I had purchased years ago. Was afraid I wouldn't find another one. Works great. Grip is the selling point.
