When I found this collection of Polish recipes I thought I had died and gone to heaven. Lent is just around the corner and when I was little we always had paczki the day before Lent and pierogies on Fridays when we couldn't eat meat. I used to help my mother make the dough for the pierogies. I am so happy to have recipes for both in one book! I plan to make my own pierogies this year and I'm going to try paczki too. After Lent I'll explore blintzes. There are so many great tips in this book. The recipes are clearly written and look easy to follow. Best of all these are authentic Polish family recipes. Awesome book!

Wow! This has to be one of the best polish recipe collections out there...so happy I came across this book and even happier that the author put the full collection together. I've been wanting to try different types of cuisines and hadn't really thought about this until I saw the book. BUT I love pierogies and can't wait to try all of the yummy looking recipes for blini. The author has a great style and the recipes are easy to follow. I especially like that she adds tips and other useful info throughout.

This book is a compilation of four of Kathy Gary's cookbooks. I'm not Polish, but having been introduced to paczkis by a co-worker, I was thrilled when I received this book as a gift. Now I have recipes for paczkis, pierogies and many wonderful Polish desserts. One of the books in this collection has recipes for bialys, blini and blintzes, which I thought I'd only be able to eat in a deli. Now I have clearly written recipes to follow so I can eat them at home. What a treat! And what a wonderful book!
