We opened the box for this safe and put it on the table. Looked at the manual and it says to use the old style skeleton looking key to open the door. Upon doing this, the entire door feel forward and bent my thumb back, hyper extending it. Upon further analysis it seems we are unable to get the door back on and this must have been a defect or a return back to amazon. The LED light is cheap plastic and has already fell off the side bar twice.Viking does NOT have a phone number you can call on their contact us page, manual or google search....only option is to send an email and wait up to 48 hours for a reply. So i have a 250$ piece of scarp metal and a bad hurting and swollen thumb. Please STAY AWAY from this safe, at least for your own safety. I will be returning it through Amazon, so one of you might wind up getting it since they do not have the best QA on returns. --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.be/products/105890925-viking-security-safe-vs-100ks-digital-key-cabinet-digital-key](https://www.desertcart.be/products/105890925-viking-security-safe-vs-100ks-digital-key-cabinet-digital-key) --- *Product available on Desertcart Belgium* *Store origin: BE* *Last updated: 2026-10-14*
