Piel LeatherMedium Shopping Bag, Chocolate, One Size

I love this bag! I currently have one medium size and one large size bag. I previously owned a medium sized Piel bag until it wore out after several years. My medium size bag I use every day (it carries a lot of stuff) as it holds my big wallet, small hairbrush, other small stuff, 3 (large size) pairs of prescription glasses, and anything else that might be convenient to have when I go out. I purchased this one 5 years ago. My large size bag I use when we go on cruises as when we are in port it can carry everything that I carry in my purse along with my camera and a couple lenses as well as what am shopping for! I have just purchased two more of these as I never know when I might not be able to find them.These bags are very well made and sturdy. I love the fact that they have a pouch on the "top" that holds my mobile phone, outside "pouches" that hold my keys, sunglasses while I am in and out of the store, and sometimes a small bottle of water in one of them. Have never had the interior lining and zipper pocket section tear or wear out. The only "issue" I have ever had (and the reason I got rid of my first bag was the corner of the piping on the bottom of the bag wore out but this time I just cut the plastic piping and it is still going strong....but then again I have had it for over 5 years! I definitely recommend this bag for anyone that likes a larger "purse"/bag.

I've had this bag 2 months and it's held up well to daily use with a 14 inch laptop, notebook, wallet, the charger and other accessories, commuting via car. There is room for more. I gave it 4 stars because it's a little plain looking and there is no "firm structured bottom." I cut a piece of cardboard from a box to the shape of the bottom and fit it in. It's given it the structure it needed, otherwise it collapsed slightly. The pockets are great for finding storing and easily finding small items like my work ID, tissues, etc. Side pocket fits my travel umbrella perfectly and does not take away from the interior space. The leather is supple but has withstood rain (a little waterproofer spray before I started using it and quick wipe dry afterwards was all it needed) and being scrapped against stucco (don't ask). Overall it's a well made product for the price.

Like all Piel Leather bags, the leather is luxurious, supple yet strong. There is piping along the outside edges to give support for standing upright. The straps fit on the shoulders perfectly, putting the tote just under your underarms. The size is a bit misleading, though. The ad states 12x17x6, however it is 12x16x6. The width is at the bottom only, narrowing towards the opening, making putting things in and taking out difficult. The tote is much, much smaller than I originally thought. I had thought Amazon sent the small tote instead, so I got out my tape measure and it is almost the advertised size.I'm not sure what I can use it for now, thinking it would be a great bag to take to the grocery, book or clothing store. Its big enough for a few items but nothing else, certainly not a weekender. The front side pockets are long and narrow, with a very tight fit. There is a larger center pocket, that could fit a 7" ereader, without the cover. There is a bigger end pocket that is a bit more forgiving. There is also a zip pocket just above the center zipper, for quick access to wallet, keys, etc.With the awkward top opening, narrow-pyramid shape bag, I'm not sure what I will use it for. Besides my love of all things Piel Leather, i'm going to have to return it. I also bought a Piel Leather fold-over cross body messenger bag for every day use (having grown from the 8x9x6 bag I was using) and they are almost the same size.

I ordered 2 of these medium size tote bags and it is truly a quality handbag! I was disappointed because both totes had only 1 exterior pocket, not 3 as stated in the product description. I returned both totes because the exterior pockets added to what made them such a great item.Revised Review-November 9, 2022:I contacted Piel Leather directly and the customer service representative explained that the missing exterior pockets were a manufacturing defect that I experienced with my Amazon orders. The problem has since been corrected and I absolutely change my two star rating to a five star rating!! The quality leather, the exterior pockets are a huge plus as are the perfect, flat, long length shoulder straps. I now own two of these beautiful totes and receive compliments on them regularly.If you are on the fence about purchasing one of these Piel tote bags, don’t be! You won’t regret it, just gorgeous…

When I ordered this bag, I thought it was going to be a jumbo overnight bag that I could carry on my shoulder. It is a large purse. The price was high, but because it is made from real leather and is made with great quality, it was worth the money. As all expensive bags do, it came inside of a storage bag. The storage bag is a bit on the small side. That is my only complaint about the order. I can fit my 15 inch HP laptop inside, and I still have room to zip it up. I love the big side pocket and the three outside pockets. The straps are a good length to have the bag full and still be able to put it on my shoulder.
