I think this was the album that rocketed Rick into the public arena. It is pure high energy Funk at its best. It features all his biggest hits such as"Superfreak" and "Give it to me baby" along with other equally great Funky songs, which earned him the title "King of Funk"

This album is a classic, it has a calming effect along with the funk element which I find uplifting, perfect as a pick me up.

Great on vinyl. Good sonics deep bass great channel separation. Recommended.

Awesome album, especially the duet with Teena Marie, Fire and Desire. Lots will notice how many later music song have sampled recording from this album.
