Fast Quilts from Fat Quarters

I first got this book from the local library and decided I had to have it for home reference. Beautiful quilts to drool over and lots of tips on how to achieve them. The cutting plans on how to achieve a finished 4" square from different shapes is particularly useful. Don't know that I'll be fast, but I've certainly enjoyed making my first four-patch squares.

I first saw this book in a library on the Isle of Wight and "liked it so much I bought the book". It gives clear well-illustrated methods for producing a wide variety of stylish quilts from fat quarters. I have actually used it to help with another craft project but there are beautiful colourful pictures, clear instructions and plenty of scope for new ideas. If you want to use your fat quarters this book will show you how quickly and easily.

This book is a good resource for making what it says quilts from fat quarters. The basic pattern is simple to follow and can be converted into an amazing amount of different designs that work in various sizes of quilts. It is good to use materials from my stash and see a finished product instead of a drawer full of fabrics. I think it will become one of my favourites as I can't wait to experiment on many more quilts. I don't think it can cure me from hoarding fabric but it will help.

A very inspiring book, got me started on quilts in a very straightforward way. beware though ! the cutting pattern only works for some of the quilts ! you need a lot more fabric and pieces for many of the quilts. This was a big disappointment.

Ideal for using small pieces of fabric & fat quarters. Gives lots of choices & fresh ideas for different quilt blocks. Excellent & well designed cutting plan. More suitable for quilters with some experience.

Another book hyoingt the "fast" aspect when I think almost all the projects are fairly time consuming for most sewers. Some of the projects do look good however.

A lovely book. Beautiful combination of blocks made from fat quarters into lovely quilts.Good illustrations and instructions. The only part I dont like is having to cut the pieces from multiple fat quarters at the same time.I think I wouldhave to do it individually

Instructions good, if you follow exactly your quilt will turn out as the book shows....nice bright coloured pictures to look at too
