Instead of scissors I find that a very sharp pairing knife is much easier and quicker.2. It saves you valuable scissors from getting blunt. A knife is easily sharpened. (be sure to get adult supervision and cut AWAY from your hands, fingers and yourself.3. There may be a lot of fluff and dust from some of the more fancy wools so have a newspaper page underneath your cutting out to collect (and not on you lap as I found out to my dismay!)4. Take time to ensure the small white clips are correctly placed and be sure you check they have not popped out and fallen.
