My pen stopped working about 5 weeks after purchase. After fiddling around back and forth with customer service including them asking for receipts that I'd already sent and then 2-3 days delay between each reply from them, Instead of giving a series of 'things to try' in order, they'd ask me to do one thing and then if that didn't work, a couple of days later ask about something else. They now are 'passing the buck' back to the company from which this was bought (Quantum). Took them >10 days to tell me I'd need to seek resolution from seller. It's no good to have a great product if you can't use it. My prior 5 star rating (below) is now changed to one star based on this horrid service. If you buy a pen and it stops working, get ready for a LONG slog. Now I'll have to wait and see how long it takes Quantum Networks before they step up and take responsibility which the manufacturer would not.----------------------------------------------------------------I had an N2 pen from Neopen. It was thick and bulky and really didn't work very well. Got this just hoping - and WOW! Slim and feels good to write with PLUS works flawlessly with their iPhone app. I've bought several different styles of notebooks for each of my different 'tasks/locations' notes and the app understands each as soon as you start using it. Battery life is great (and settable) and the actual ballpoint pen refills are cheap as dirt. There were six five-star ratings - out of six verified purchases when I wrote this which has got to tell you something about the pen. First really good implementation of this technology I've had. Lived through a LiveScribe as well as the N2: they're far inferior to this one. It'll store your writing if you don't have your iPhone/Android with you (but who doesn't) and then upload later. Amazing. I just wish the company would update their website a bit more regularly so I wouldn't think that they've gone down the drain while I wasn't looking.

I've written 10 pages in the supplied notebook (which was blue and not green). However, 3.5 of the 10 pages were only partially captured in the app.To me this makes it hard to rely on this pen as a way to digitize notes.Pairing was ok and the app seems to recognize the pen. I thought maybe it just wasn't on or something but I waited a few times to hear the beep and it still missed the content.In summer it feels too buggy for regular use.

I’m blown away at how well the app interfaces with the data transfer. The text conversion can be improved but it’s not horrible. It’s cost effective to print your own sheets and I’m playing with creating gif files for presentations.
