A Great book on the required mentality & thought processes required of protection personnel
This book is articulate and well written, and primarily addresses the mindset and "psychology" of Professional Protective Service Agents, and the critical though processes required in the performance of such duties. It does NOT cover any physical tactics, formations, weapons. It does give real world advice and Information about the various "Executive Protection" or "Bodyguard" schools or academy's, many of which are "tactical bling" , and addresses the reality of securing legitimate employment in this field. I'm retired from 25+ years in the public/private/military LE and Security sectors and like to keep up with with it. I was pleased with what the book was actually about. Trying to be objective, the author could have gone into much more detail about professional education and credentials/certifications. I already have my degrees and half the "alphabet" behind my name. But more info on that would have been nice for those just starting out. Though he does give some generic, basic information. It's a "Must Read" for those who understand that the profession is more than the "glitz and glamour" too often mis-portrayed by TV and the "internet".

Very helpful for writers researching private security.
As a fiction writer, I found this book to be an excellent resource. It doesn't describe how a security agent would act in every conceivable circumstance. Rather, it describes what a security agent should consider, how to view the world, how to develop a plan, what to look for in terms of potential threats. It basically sets you up with the foundation for responding to whatever situation might arise. I'm sure it would be very helpful to someone interested in the profession, and is definitely helpful for writers on character / story development. Great starting point for further research.

Fairly good book
Overall it was a fairly good book. The book covers many important aspects and topics concerning executive protection and physical security. A. Hunsicker's books are superior in my opinion but this book covered some topics and material not included in Hunsicker's work.

Good book
I didn’t learn much from this book but I like the fact that the author covers pretty much most of the important things.

Great look inside the EP World
This book covers a wide look into the Executive Protection job. There are great points that allow the individual reader to actually do some of the challenges that professional EP agents use daily.

Protection
When I received this book and looked how thin it was, my thoughts were that this book was not going to have enough information to satisfy my curiosity, but it did. I do recommend this book if you are just starting in this business of protecting people. This book was well written and has all the basics of Executive Protection information to get started.
