I have had several types of chair mats, but NEVER one as nice as the one I purchased from Iconik. The previous one I bought at Sam's was a bit unusual, but in desperation of needing a mat, I bought it anyway. It was thin and FOLDED in the middle. Well, being related to Wally Walrus (a true heavyweight), in no time I got the big dimples in the mat, making it almost impossible to roll about. Then, the day I ordered my Iconik mat I found the mat had begun to separate at the fold, putting a gash in the bottom of my foot. With my new mat, I roll around like an ice skater and NO DIMPLES. It is made VERY sturdy and I really feel I won't make the dimples in this one. I will ALWAYS buy my chair mats from Iconik.

We put this down on the carpet and used a nice office chair with rollers on it - but within a week we heard a loud pop! We noticed that it had shattered in an area with a diameter of about 6 inches. I had to get a refund for it. It looked like the quality was good - but it wasn't in our case.

The chair mats I have bought at local office supply stores and warehouse clubs have only lasted about a year before cracking. I decided to search Amazon to see if I could find one with good reviews that would last longer. I purchased this mat in March 2019 and it developed its first crack in December 2021. The crack is about 1.5" long, so it's not a problem yet. The mat shipped flat, not rolled, and there was a sticker on it that said "Made in Germany." That gave me hope for better quality, and having lasted 2.5 years before developing a crack, I am satisfied. Would I prefer a mat that never cracks? Of course. However, this mat has lasted longer without cracking than any other mat I have used.

Bought this to replace a previous one that was curling up, with divots. Worried it would come in a cylinder and take a while to flatten out and not solid to prevent divots. Came in a package (I bought the biggest one) that was flat so no worries there. More important it is solid and no divots, rolls the way I wanted. So I am delighted, could not ask for more, Sure beats going to an Office Depot and trying to get in the car especially with carpet hooks that hurt when carrying. With this, take the box into the room, and no finger dings!

I bought this mat for my home office, which has berber carpet. I've been using the mat for about 3 weeks now and am very happy with it. My chair rolls easily over the mat, and the mat's spikes hold it in place on the carpet. I have not had any problems with the mat shifting position. My mat came in a box that was not quite wide enough, so the edges of the mat were rolled up, but it flattened out within an hour of unboxing it.UPDATE: I bought a second mat for my husband. That one came taped between 2 sheets of cardboard, rather than in a box, and the edge of the mat was torn, so I returned it for a replacement. When I received the replacement, it was taped between 2 sheets of cardboard, and the UPS driver pointed out some significant tears in the packaging. The mat itself was undamaged, but it was a completely different mat from the original one! It is much more rigid and has tiny little nubs instead of the 1/4" spikes on the original mat. I am returning it for a refund and will buy some other product. It's too bad, because the first mat was great.

Great product and big enough to fit under my desk. It is sturdy and has held up well so far. I have had a slight issue with it shifting after sliding my chair across it, but that is not a big problem. Would recommend.

I purchased two of these to put side by side to pretty much cover an entire room (and the floor space between my two desks). They are AWESOME! I am a big guy (235#) and they barely give under the weight of me in my large chair. Be prepared to put something under them to keep them from moving as the studs on the bottom are not sharp, but rounded and slide quite easily on medium carpet. I have my two taped together from the bottom to create on LARGE pad with one side held in place under my desk foot. No more sliding in my office (except me from one desk to the other). I've been using them for 3 weeks and they look brand new (and I work from home so I'm on them 10 to 14 hours a day!)My only complaint would be that these are not shipped flat but rather rolled. Once opened, they are completely FLAT...here is the issue, because they are completely flat, they are under great pressure with the HUGE tie wraps they use. So when you finally cut the thing (which in itself is VERY DIFFICULT - I scratched one of the pads in the process) the mat SPRINGS open. I would recommend team opening them to minimize the POP.Update 8/7/2021 - these started cracking about 3 months after I bought them. Sent in a comlaint and immediately got a refund of my purchase price. Not a great product, but great customer service!

So far so good. I have been using this mat now for about a month. No cracks, no divots, no indents for the chair to get stuck in. The office chair I have isn’t that heavy but I’m about 160 lbs. I’m on this chair and mat about 8 hours a day, 2-3 days per, and the rest of the days a couple hours a day. So far I have been satisfied by how it is holding up. The value for the money is great. My only regret is that I didn’t orde4 a larger one.

Overpriced rubbish... don’t waste your money.Had the mat a couple of months and it has become brittle and started breaking into small sharp pieces. Contacted the seller has to replace the defective item but refused.I have had a chair mat and this office chair for some time on this flooring and had no problems and opted to get a larger chair mat so I bought this mat. It arrived in time but the quality of the material is brittle and it has started to fall apart.As from the photos it is not shatterproof as described and it is not suitable for carpeted floors as the listing claims. The carpet in the photo is a small area rug but this is on a tiled floor.

This was exactly what I was hoping for, a hard polycarbonate type of sheet plastic to go on the carpet in the spare bedroom to stop the office chair from wearing a hole through the floor. It's rigid enough to allow the chair to move around easily, even with me sat on it! Helpfully, there are also small studs on the side to face down onto the carpet to help it stop sliding around. Good Job.

Really pleased with this when it arrived. It comes in a huge cardboard box as it is a solid unbendable sheet. It did the job perfectly for the first six weeks then just shattered at the point where the wheels tend to be sited.I should have kept the box because it is going to be a pain in the neck to send it back but I will do because its too expensive to just put up with it. It says its suitable for deep pile carpets but this is obviously not the case.

Shatter-Proof? I was quite happy with the item on receipt however, after all of 1 week this item started to crack just from sitting on my office chair and moving. As you can see from the photo's after 1 month of using this so called "SHATTER-PROOF" item it has SHATTERED. Some what disappointed. I will not buy again and would not recoommend anyone buys this item. At £40 I expected a quality product, what I got was a piece of turd!!!!!!

I would not recommend this product if you have a carpet that thas a standard type pile length, or a floor that has uneven floorboards. I use this chair mat at home with a standard 5-wheel chair, on a standard home-style carpet. The mat is 'fixed' under the desk by the table sitting on top of it. The mat has semi-spherical 'bobbles' on the underside to resist moving on the carpet. Unfortunately, even with the table sitting on top of the mat, it still has a tendancy to move in the direction of the carpet pile, so it requires adjustment at the end of each day. Also, since my floorboards are uneven, the mat broke where I presume there is a small dip in the boards and one chair wheel must have pushed into this depression. So, although the mat has not shattered, it has broken and the break has splintered in different directions across the mat.
