High quality LED desk lamp or reading lamp
I ordered a Lumiy Lightblade 1500. I was informed that it would be upgraded to a 1500S because of a limited promotion. The lamp I received is a Diasonic DL-65TH. This and the Lumiy must be made by the same company as they are identical. The only difference is the Lumiy uses a maximum of 8 watts and the Diasonic uses up to 11 watts. No big deal. The light is very bright on high. I mostly use it on level 2 or 3 (out of 5). There are four touch controls (which work flawlessly) for different light color. Very warm white all the way up to daylight white. I like the neutral white for reading. The warmest color on low makes a nice night light. Each color has 5 levels of brightness. The many options should satisfy everyone! The base is heavy enough for the lamp to be stable. The lamp swivels on the base and the light bar tilts to each side. I tilt it away from my wife when reading in bed. This is a very versatile lamp and should work for just about everyone. I was hesitant to spend $90 on a led reading lamp and almost bought another brand at half the price. However, the reviews on these were better. This lamp does have high quality led's, looks well made, and the touch controls work flawlessly. Another nice feature is a touch control for timed automatic shut off. Press once for 30 minutes or twice for 60 minutes. I find myself using this feature. This is a very nice lamp that puts out quality light and uses very little energy.

Very good -- almost perfect
This is a great lamp. Nearly $100 was a little painful, but if it lasts 5 or more years, it will be worth it.PROs:The quality of light and controls are superb. There are 4 tint settings, and in each setting you can adjust the brightness. The brightness for each tint is ***memorized*** -- a very nice touch! The "reading" tint I prefer for general use, as it's not too cool, and not too warm. I often wake up by selecting "accounting" tint, which is very cool and bright, good for triggering the body to wake up. In the evening I switch to "coffee" tint 2 hrs. before bedtime, then "beddy-bye" tint close to retiring, and if I read before bed. Also, the dim red LED pinpointing the location of the power button when the lamp is off is great for helping you turn it on at night. The appearance is well finished, smooth, sleek, high-tech. The lamp holds its position.CONs:The base isn't very heavy, so I usually have to hold it still when I move the support arm. The head can be moved relative to the support arm without stabilizing the base, but the support arm is stiffer so the base needs to be pressed on to move it. It also takes up a lot of desk space, while not being useful to hold anything since it's too smooth and the touch controls are there. The real drawback to this lamp is that there aren't enough ways to adjust the position. I would prefer if I could at least rotate the head around its long axis, so I could control glare better in some situations. The other lamps of this style don't have this capability either, so there aren't many better options. Also the diffuser protrudes slightly from the head, so this creates a thin line of moderate glare that is nearly impossible to not see. It would be better if the light emitting surface was flush with the head, so that if the plane of the head was below your line of sight, no glare would be visible at all.But these are minor drawbacks. Expecting a fully articulated head at this price and in a sleek styled lamp is unreasonable.Other lamps I considered: "Conoco Natural Light LED Multi-function Desk Lamp Black" which is presently $67.21 !!! and "Softech- Natural Light LED Multi-function Desk Lamp Black" which is $124.99 . These lamps are identical AFIK, so I'm not sure why the price difference and who originated the design, which is slightly different from the Lightblade 1500.I'm actually an LED flashlight enthusiast and do scientific research with LEDs. So I know LEDs! There are many types of LEDs with varying quality. I'm not sure of the manufacturer of the LEDs in this light, but it is advertized to have a CRI >90. Low CRI is typical of many LEDs. Google or Wiki CRI to learn more about it. The best LEDs are made by Philips Lumileds, Cree, and Nichia. Osram and a few others are good too, but I have less experience with them. Nichia tends to lead in the high CRI department, but high CRI LEDs are a little less efficient. But the highest efficiency LED lamp might not give the best looking light when it comes to seeing colors accurately. My preference is for high CRI first, then efficiency is a secondary concern.I'm satisfied, but I'm tempted if I buy another of this type to get the very inexpensive Conoco model.

Order arrived with EU Round Prong Plug. Two Week Wait for Correct Plug.
Like many of the reviewers - I got EU plugs that won't work in the USA. How can ALL of these other reviewers get lamps with the wrong prongs and rave about the great customer service and give 5 stars? I suspect some freebies, because I can't be the only one chasing them down to get the right plugs for my lamp. After sending a message to the seller thru Amazon on Tuesday, I got a call back from a young man who said he had a whole pallet of these with known issues and he thought it would be fine for me to wait for him to ship the correct adapter from California to Florida. He claimed he ships out when the order comes in - But my lamp arrived Tuesday and the adapter arrived after I called on Saturday. He did have to take my address to ship.I think once a seller knows there is a part missing - they should be automatically sending them out the SAME DAY as the order shipped. We should not have to call or wait.We are working without lights and I need these ASAP. I tried to explain how this was a problem for me - but he simply could not understand. That is one of the great things about Amazon - you know when you will get your item. I got this on time - but it's not functioning. The adapter should arrive Friday. I plan to get something else, because with Customer Care like this, I can only imagine it not working when the plug arrives.EDIT: I ordered a different lamp from another seller on Wednesday because I can't wait. It arrived Thursday. Already set up and working.EDIT: My adapter promised by Friday arrived Saturday. Knowing I was upset and needed it right away it was shipped REGULAR MAIL from California to Florida. Wow, thanks for the effort to help your customers. It arrived in an UN-PADDED plain white envelope. Lucky it did not tear and fall out. But, I only got ONE!!! I needed two - so, I have to call again to get my other plug - and it will then be TWO WEEKS that my 2nd light will be sitting here useless. Now that I can finally turn this light on, I like it a lot BUT - Don't waste your time on this seller.Wednesday - It's been 12 days since my order and I only have one working lamp. I call Amazon, they offer to ship me an international adapter at no cost to me. But since I have no idea what country these prongs work in, I don't know which adapter to order. Don't you LOVE Amazon Customer Service - this is why I shop here. They promise to contact the seller for me and make another request for the adapter.

Purchased this light based on all the high reviews. ...
Purchased this light based on all the high reviews. It's pricy and not sure if it's worth $100+. My office doesn't have an overhead light and it gets dark. This light provides brightness to a small area of my desk (and does it well). Certainly doesn't light up the room though.
