As advised, seems like a well made backpack stylish enough for work rugged enough for play. Wasn’t sure I would be a fan of the magnetic snaps but they are strong enough to keep closed and provide easy opening on the go.

Have had flour as month and it feels sturdy, classic look and feel, and I really like the magnet clasps. For what I need it to for school.

Well made, good looking bag with quality hardware and leather, I purchased this for my young son to use as a school book bag. He likes it, and has received a lot of complements because of it from both students and adults. It also travels well and is a good size for knocking around town for the day when you just need a few things to keep you supplied. I will say, the side pockets are tight and tough to get even a slim water bottle to fit. That said, it is a bag that will hold up well over time, is comfortable to carry, simple to organize, and looks very good.

Wow, I have finally found THE backpack. At first I was put off by the price, being significantly higher than most other items in it's class. But it was completely worth it. I wish I could give it six stars instead of five. I like the "messenger bag" concept and have had quite a few. A bag that is small, has pockets to organize, and is easy to carry by hand. The problem has always been that messenger bags don't usually have a good way to wear them on your back. One shoulder or another ends up taking all the brunt of the load. This backpack is fantastic. It really functions as either a "messenger bag" or a backpack, something that I have been looking for. Some points, not in any particular order. * Very comfortable to wear on your back as a backpack. It sits well and can be carried that way for a while without wearing on the shoulders or sitting awkwardly. The effect is that even with a heavy load, it's not uncomfortable. * The straps are super easy to adjust quickly. Thus, it can go from fully "on your back" to on a shoulder in a flash. * In part because of the previous point, it works great just slung over your shoulder. You can quickly (in under 2 seconds) slide out one of the shoulder straps, sling it around the way you like, and then tighten it up. * The shape is just right. It is flared slightly at the top, something that I would not have thought to be important. The effect is that it is easy to carry in one hand as well. Also, it works well both when mostly empty and when packed. * The above mentioned shape makes it super easy to quickly get stuff out of it while moving through an airport or on the go. * I think the pockets are just right. Some reviewers have lamented the lack of a side pocket. To me, such would have messed up the clean lines and unique shape. The closures on the pockets are great too. The top zips, which provides extra security. The back pocket has a snap. The flap has both snaps and straps. The overall effect is that you can choose how secure you want to make things versus ease of access. I love this. If you are moving quickly, you can pop stuff in and just close the flap with the snaps. If you want more security, zip + snaps + straps. * The construction and material to me appear to be excellent. I normally favor leather, but waxed canvas works great. It has just the right amount of stiffness to make it retain it's shape well. It repels liquid. And it looks fantastic. * Inside pockets are great for carrying a computer / tablet, keys, phone, etc. Bottom line.. this has become my "go to" backpack. The one I take with me every day. It was completely worth the price. I only wish I would have found it sooner and saved money on others bags that never quite did it.

Bought this for my 25 yr old son who does a lot of traveling and has discerning taste. It has held up with the last 6 months (and he travels A LOT). He loves it. Great value for the price and very sturdy.

This has been my favorite bag since I got it. I superglued the magnet closures together and just use the leather buckles, since I couldn’t find a style that had JUST buckles. I wish it didn’t have the laptop sleeve in it, as I don’t use it for carrying electronics, but the inner nylon is a separate layer from the outer canvas and is not stitched in all the way down. Theoretically someone craftier and braver than me could easily remove the inner nylon and be left with a wide open waxed canvas bag.

Pros: The materials for this bag are quite nice. The waterproofing offers good protection from the elements at the cost of making the bag stiff. The inside of the bag is quite spacious and can hold a lot; I can carry a pair of shoes, my gym clothes, and a toiletry bag inside and still have space remaining. The magnetic clasps are good for what they are, but buttons or zippers would be better. Cons: The laptop pouch feels like an afterthought. The material for the pouch isn't anchored to the inside of the bag so a laptop or tablet store tends to "slouch" in the pocket. The magnetic clasps are not durable. I've been using this bag daily for a month and a magnet popped off the strap (see photo). The side pockets are small and can't hold much. EDIT: another clasp broke on this bag, the metallic latch ripped out of the material when I accidentally hit the side of my bag on a pole as I walking on a bus (see photo). Overall I can't recommend this bag for the price. I bought a similar bag for half the price four years ago and it held up far better than this one.

UPDATE 22-06/2024: Since my original post the manufacturer has reached out and stated they will address the issue with the buckles. This has been an excellent customer support experience and it's great to see a company genuinely care about their customers experience with their products. With the upgrade to the buckles this would be a top quality and comfortable pack for everyday use. The buckles issue was my only down side of this pack. Seems well made and quite comfortable except for the lack of padding behind the tension buckles on the shoulder straps. The buckles dig into your arms/armpits if carrying any kind of weight for any kind of period. So much so they can cut your skin or material with use. I've had to stitch small pieces of leather to the straps to protect from the buckles. Apart from that one significant issue, I like the pack overall. Sturdy, decently made and looks quite nice too.

This backpack replaced a ten year old Oakley backpack. The quality is amazing and I look forward to years of use. The only issue I have is the metal clasps for the back pack straps are painful when loaded.

It's actually a beautiful bag. It only is a little to rigid but that's what makes it long lasting
