Not worth the price
After about a year of owning this and using almost everyday, it started to shed quite a bit. I mean, not just 10-12 hairs, but there would be clumps of hair all over my face. Really disappointed. I was hoping for quality and to get something nice, but my old cheap brush from CVS lasted much longer and so I am back to using it for now.

I think I have a new favorite brush!
am really enjoying this brush! It is probably the most densely packed knot I own and the tips are really soft. Every body seems to comment on the weight of the handle, the thing about the weight is it is all in the metal part of the handle so it won't hang in any of my current stands without wanting to tip over. What I need to do is find a tall stand and hang it by the end of the handle so it doesn't tip. The heft of the handle feels nice when lathering and it is very nice looking.According to the reviews some people are having issues with the hair falling out of the knot, mine shed about 12 with the first shave 7 the second and about 4 with the third and nothing significant since. So maybe 25-30 hairs total, definately not a problem especially when you consider how densely the hair is packed in.In short I would certainly recommend getting a WSP brush I bought two and am thinking that I will probably aquire another in the hopefully near future. Probably a 2- band badger.

Heavy, but good
I just upgraded from a pure badger brush from The Art of Shaving to this Silvertip Badger brush from WSP, and so far I'm really enjoying the change. The silvertip badger bristles feel softer on my face than my previous brush, which I really appreciate. They do seem to soak up / hold in more of the lather, though, and I'm still working on figuring out the right ratios of cream and water. Also, the base is very heavy in comparison to my prior brush. That's not really a negative - it's nice to hold on to something substantial - more of an FYI to future purchasers.I've only had the brush for a few days, so it's still shedding a bit. I expect that will stop soon; if it doesn't I'll update this review. All in all, though, a great shaving brush.

Great feeling brush but too many problems for the price
At $120 this is not a cheap brush by any means. The handle is very handsome looking but also very heavy. Those of you who hang their brush upside down to dry (like me) will find the laws of physics working against you with all that weight being at the top, making it tricky to balance the brush on a brush stand. You will also feel the weight during your shave.Despite my careful handling, my brush was still shedding about 8-12 hairs per shave after 3 months. Wet Shaving Products (the maker and seller) was good in agreeing to replace the brush under warranty. I got the replacement brush back, but it looks like all they did was take the existing handle and put a new knot in it. I was expecting a completely new handle, and now I see a few nicks in the metal bottom of the base where there were none before. Also, now when I knock on the bottom of the brush with my knuckles I hear some rattling, like the metal bottom and the black part are rattling together. I also see a bit of space on the sides where the metal bottom and black part meet. For $120 I don't feel that that's acceptable workmanship. The hairs feel very nice, and of course its silvertip hairs mean it retains heat and water very well. Honestly, though, if you can do without the nice-looking handle, there's better silvertip brushes out there that are better made and weighted. Shame, as aesthetically this is one sexy looking brush.

Not so good
I gave it three stars since it was made in America. However, bristles continue to fall out after one months of usage. For the price, quality should be better.I bought this brush on Feb. 22nd,2015 and discarded it today,08/24/15. The bristles continue to fall out during each shave and the situation is worse than it was when the brush was new. This brush is awful!!!!

Almost a fraud!
I bought this brush in a department store under the illusion that it could be really silvertip high mountain badger as the description says. This was very stupid on my side as the real silvertip "high mountain" badger are very, very rare and sold by Plisson at 300-400 euros in France. What was I thinking? This brush is just regular super badger/silvertip quality . This would make for a medium-good quality brish if it weren't for the very heavy and unbalanced handle and the tendency to shed hair forever. Chinese ? Do not buy it, you can find much better for this price but,of course not HM (high mountain) rated hair

Performs as advertised. I am pretty new to brush shaving and am trying out several options after receiving as a gift a travel set from The Art of Shaving. Purchsed a silvertip badger from AOS and it performs pretty well. Tried a 2nd silvertip from Parker Razor and the tips are scratchy. This brush from WSP is smooth as silk, yet sturdy. Very pleased.

This brush replaces an old best Badger brush I purchased in London about 20 years ago. So far, the brush is noticeably stiffer than my old brush. but the hair is very dense and it makes a good lather with shaving soap. The handle is weighted and feels a lot heavier than my old brush.Getting used to how stiff it is, but so far, it does the job well.
